Thanks rich, am going to do this to my truck and saw a link for a tool box mod that uses these led strips so i can wrench at night. thanks again

I replaced the two bulbs in my truck bed light at the rear top of the cab and that made a difference but a whole light strip would do much more 😊

Very cool, those would work really great on my 8' utility trailer! Quite affordable also! Thanks Rich! oh and BTW, the eyelet you mentioned is called a ring terminal, sorry, that's my OCD kicking in🙃

Installed those exact ones, I tied into the power from the trailer harness and epoxied the switch up close under the box lip at the back, put the lights under the lip though…they have survived about 2 years so far! Only issue is if I leave it on and forget I am sol…lol.

Yeah I hooked it in this way so whenever I turn the key off it goes off with it in case I forget

@@FordBossMe I just didn’t want to have to turn on the key when camping as the headlights would go on every time I turned the key on lighting everyone up. Tested out how long it takes for them to kill my battery enough for no start….about 18-20 hrs. Be neat if there was a 10 min timer every time I hit the switch!

Oh yeah this is what I want

I want to do that to my truck, but my Silverado has a short bed less than 5 feet...I THINK. Also, I'd like to wire them to the cargo light so I would need to see how many total amps they'd draw and the routing would be a pain. I'll do it some day...lol. It's nice to light up the bed so you can see at night. Those cargo lights just don't do it alone. Take care.
@FordBossMe Жыл бұрын
Well these have a 5 amp fuse
@TimfromAlabama Жыл бұрын
@@FordBossMe Thanks. I think my cargo light has a 10 amp but I'll look to make sure first.

Hi there Rich, been following you for a while on here - and thanks to you, I have learned quite a lot. These lights look pretty freaking awesome. I do have a 'pick your brain' question about them. I have a 2015 F-150 Lariat SuperCab, 6.5 ft box with an ARE cap on it. It already has the factory bed lights. Do you think it would be possible to install these and wire them so that they come on with the switch in the bed? Keep up the good work and congrats on the new position.
@FordBossMe Жыл бұрын
Yeah you can tie them into the factory bed lights and it'll be fine

No I'm not a big bed cover fan I mean I've been looking into them but they're kind of new to me

Your beds small what do you need lights for? You can't be putting that much in there.

I mean I have a six and a half foot bed and what I do to this truck I don't understand why you're concerned with it or why you have anything negative to say about it? What are you trying to do here
