I used to work at a body shop. Take a spray bottle and put dish soap and water in it. Spray the areas of plastic trim to make them slick where they are held on with tabs such as that big piece under the headlights in the video. I’m telling you, it makes life SO much easier. Also anywhere you are applying double sided tape. Always clean the surface really well and used adhesive promoter on the plastic pieces that the tape is touching. People often wonder why their double sided tape pieces won’t stay like factory. That’s why. Use adhesive promoter.

2 questions. Why did GM make changing headlight bulbs such a pain in the ass and why haven't they had a recall on the useless and inadequate headlights they installed?

Dude, I just want to thank you. I tried some LED turn lamps on my '17 Sierra. The wedges that should be grabbed by the springs inside the fixture were about 0.6 mm smaller than the stock glass bulb. It fell out inside the housing. If it were not for this video I probably would still be staring at my front bumper trying to figure out how to remove my headlight housing. Thank you again!

I purchased the TRS kit as well and will be installing this weekend. Looking forward to being able to see at night. Compenent quality looks outstanding. To be clear, can the HID install be done by simply removing the airbox, or do I have to blow the front end apart for access? I'm installing the same parts as you did in the video. where did you buy the hid kit and does they come with the relay I've been having alot of trouble to make both work since just one turns on while the other one just turns on whenever it feels like it lol

What GMC emblem did you install? All the ones I have seen require you to drill through the stock one and the rivets that hold it in place. I would really like to avoid drilling through the stock one if possible. Thanks.

Did you HAVE to install a new projector to connect the HIDs? How is the factory style projector with a 35w HID?

What the harness name

Dielectric grease is NON conductive meaning it resists electrical flow. If you want to use a grease to help promote good contact and prevent corrosion use either a silver or carbon based grease. The only thing Dielectric will do is help prevent corrosion. In most cases dielectric won't hurt anything given you have good metal to metal contact and it is used sparingly but it's still much better to use something that is meant to encourage electrical flow.

Trying to figure out why you took the hole front of your truck apart when you can get to the back of the headlight housing on the driver side and can remove the air box on the passenger side to do the same thing. Am I missing something?

Damn it’s a job and a half doing shit to these trucks. I remember when I had my 04 F150, all I had to do was open the hood, take off the shroud and take off 3 bolts for each headlight. Everything has to be so complicated now.

That kit is ridiculous how many connections are there really? I wouldn't install that kit if it was free, no wonder why 98% of installer errors are with the connection. That kit sucks!

A higher sound level would have helped, and making sure you're not in the way of the camera would have helped too.
