sadly it won't come soon enough for me, i take ownership of a 5-door Cupra 280 at the end of next month. your review back in May assisted greatly in helping to make that choice instead of a Golf. thanks :)

i have owned 3-door cars for last 6 years, usability was a problem during a tour around France in August, not enough access. it's a pity you don't get any referral commission when you help people to purchase. i did test drive as well but it was not on my shortlist until after watching your review.

divkodivko DCC and AWD dont mix? Interesting, I ll ask when I got the chance if that has any reason. But you dont really need the DCC, the normal suspension is also just fine

TechExplorer Hey Joe, yeah Seat is only focussing on Europe atm and I dont think this will change. Volkswagen first has to fix the issues with the US market for the VW brand itself.

I have seen Seat in Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, etc. In the United States I have seen some Seat's , but I think they are purchased in Mexico .

Zachary Ong Hey Zachary, yes indeed, I also mentioned this quite at the beginning. The Seat Leon ST and the Volkswagen Golf Variant are both slightly above 4,50 m long, the Skoda Octavia Combi is about 15 cm longer. The Skoda vehicles are always between the Volkswagen car classes in length, so the Octavia is between Golf and Passat, the Superb is between Passat and Phaeton etc. The Skoda Octavia is however at the same base price as the Seat Leon!

Hi thanks for the reply. I trust the brand that's why I went ahead without having seen the the car, but did do some research. I would like to see a video that could show me the excellence model next to the Fr? I wanted all the bells and whistles but If I wanted the Fr I would have to give up certain things? Is the difference mainly cosmetic?

I have yes I was watching hinge them a couple of days ago, after I booked the back to back test drives of the two vRS. Today I drive bast the seat dealership and they pointed out the leon st FR was close to the diesel vrs estate. Ive done a little research (google), and I think the price defence favours the leon, but I don't want to compromise too much. The move form the petrol vrs to the diesel is one I could probably stomach, given the extra mpg, want I don't know is if there is much between the leon ST FR 180d and the vRS 180d. This naming lark gets confusing quick. Thanks for the response. And keep the reviews coming. A UK viewer.

***** thanks for your input. I tested the diesel (180) first, and was underwhelmed, it's by no means slow, but offered about the same acceleration as my GTC 165, but was bumpier yet less sporty that the gtc. The petrol 220, was a differnt beast, very quick, but same mid range (give or take) , but again bumpy and less sporty than the gtc. But what a sound it makes 💞 I then took the Leon ST FR (184) out, and that "felt" quicker than the VRS diesel, wasn't as bumpy and more sporty, not as sporty as the gtc, but this is an estate and not a coupé, so I wasn't expecting miracles. So the Leon ST FR risen above the Octavia on the list. I was very impressed at the overall package, and it sounds better than the vRS 180. like for like the Leon is about £1500 cheaper, I'd go entry FR with android auto, maybe 19",but doubtful. Though I still prefer the looks of the Octavia vRS estate, over the Leon ST FR. But not enough to make me choose the vRS.
