In this video i remove the standard exhaust system and refit a Delcevic 350mm stumpy system. I do a sound comparison and test ride. This system sounds great but doesn't drone or numb your ears sitting on highway speeds.

Just installed the carbon version on my 2013, it is a bit louder than the video let’s on! Still have yet to take a longer ride on it, but how’s the drone/cruising noise for you? Edit: took it for a ride today finally, I do enjoy it! A little louder than I’d like, not sure if the 8” version would’ve been better (got the 9”), but definitely makes you more heard on the road. Also not too obnoxiously loud, but definitely a head turner if you’re riding hard.

Hi Peter, anything load gets annoying on a long ride. I don't have the versy any more. I did keep the muffler and put it on my vstrom. It is not as loud because of longer header pipes.

I have a Delkevic on my dirtbike and I can tell you guys it’s loud, even with the baffle in its very loud. If you were touring for any length of time it’s probably going to drive you nuts and you’ll be half deaf

i put one on my vstrom and dr650 and they have been good, not to loud with the baffle in. maybe it depends on the bike and muffler you have.

Wanting to fit a delkevic on my Versys 650 2019 but have an aftermarket exhaust fitted (SW-Motech). Looks similar to the one in this video. Any issues apart from trying to get the stock off?

@martynhodgson6798 Thanks for the question, I done this so long ago I'm not sure I can be of help, sorry. You may need to check pipe diameter and lengths.

So wondering how bad is the swingarm scratched because you don't have enough clearance between the new exhaust can and the swingarm?
@bazz66703 жыл бұрын
Hey Carl, it didn't actually touch just very close. Thanks for watching

@@bazz6670 Ok thanks I'm actually thinking about the same exhaust on my 2016 Versys 650. Obviously don't want it to hit as the swingarm moves up and down and yes it does sound very good, thanks for sharing.

I'm about to pull the trigger on the same exhaust for my versys. Are you still happy with yours after having it a while?
@bazz66703 жыл бұрын
Hi Toddzilla, thanks for watching. I ended up selling the versy about a year ago but kept the pipe which is now fitted to my vstrom. I think they are good value for the money.

@@bazz6670 why’d you switch from Versys to V-Strom?
@bazz66703 жыл бұрын
@@markj1959 I did really like the Versy, what made me switch is the front wheel , if it was a 19 inch it would have been better off road and I found the bike felt short once I got all my camp gear on. The vstrom is just a better bike work horse for my type of riding off the beaten track.
