After finding out the clutch in the 2015 Subaru WRX was slipping on the dyno, I immediately reached out to SDMotorworks and ordered a new clutch and flywheel. When doing this job it is recommended to replace the rear main seal to avoid removing the engine again when the time comes to replace the seal. Also, Stage 4 pressure plate: Fro Stage 2 and up the fork has to be replaced for an stronger one. The oem fork could bend or break where the slave cylinder pushes.

Amazing how far you've come with your car. I remember when I started watching your channel a truck had just backed up onto your hood and from there on it has just snowballed into so many mods. Enjoy yourself out there in Cali. Keep up the great vids.

J Parker yeah pulling the motor for me is the easiest way to do it by myself. Now if I had a lift and a trans jack for the lift I would pull just the trans.

you used an old style T/O bearing with an open bearing style. The oem version 2 has a sealed bearing and might be more longer lasting.

Dustin... The Evil Twin has the ACT lightweight flywheel and HAD the COMP 6puck clutch... It was quite a pain to daily... and damn heavy. Very On and OFF... should have skipped the flywheel.. too noisy..... That clutch can take a beating tho... I did almost 27 Passes at the drag strip on the 550whp tune before it started giving out... HOT PASSES... there was no line. I ran, got back in the box and ran again... after that it started giving out but still got me home 30 miles away. TIP : 2k RPM is what the clutch likes for daily.

Dustin I hope you did the rear main seal, it's like a $10-$30 part. I would recommend replacing it being that you already had the motor out. And how is I that I missed this video😕 I normally get the notifications. SIGH!

Hey Dustin, ive watched your videos for awhile now. I feel like you have a fairly decent knowledge of Subaru. So In your honest opinion what is the best year for the Subaru wrx sti to get maximum horsepower with only a handful of mods done to it? I used to have an 06 wrx sti but totaled it 6 years ago. I'm looking into getting a new car and I want another Subaru. if you could find some time to let me know what your opinion is I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Dustin. I just had the act II clutch kit redone in my car and the transmission fluid changed as well to motul gear and motul gear 300 for the rear diff. The mechanic gave me back my car yesterday and when i drive my car makes a tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick noise. I think they pulled the transmission but could have pulled the motor. I also hear a loud leak or something at like 4500 rpms NO POWER beyond that point. Can you ask Tim whats wrong with my car please?

you fucked up buying a competition . my buddy has a box full of failed comp clutches in his garage lol . i just saw a supercharged FA5 post a blown up twin disk that took his entire transmission with it yesterday never seen anything like that before . GOOD LUCK AND GODSPEED MY FRIEND

Clutch’s aren’t rated for HP. They are rated for TQ. And with an after market clutch, u should of gotten the upgraded clutch fork. Stock isn’t strong enough. Also. Do much more then your transmission will be toast, our entire driveline is trash, look into doing an Sti driveline swap

There is no such thing as flywheel chatter btw... i know this is old but its the 6 puck because engagement with them sucks ass no matter what variant you use ill never use one again. Only full faced disc with heavy pp or twin discs.
