I don't know man. I think the 16 looks stronger. Like more of a beast than the new 17. Should HA e done more of a comparison.
@josueosorio54125 жыл бұрын
2011-2016: strong, real metal , sexy , heavy , hot and reliable. 2017 and up : aluminum foil made , pretty and ... thats about it. Salesman: ... let’s not go there.
@scuddrunner14 жыл бұрын
But it has military-grade aluminum like they use on tanks. :-)

I just bought a 2017 gas F350 CC LB FX4. I don't have all of those extras, but it is a fantastic truck regardless. I have no regrets with my purchase.

Ford just keeps getting better and better in their trucks

So in other words other than a couple minor doodads, moving the badging around, and making the fenders weaker there is no difference!

Nice video looking forward to seeing much more of your videos. #TeamFord

John Molina thanks! I have taken a position in management so I haven't been able to post lately, but I plan starting back up soon.

Why is the tailgate step now on about a 35-40 degree angle when it's open? It looks like you might slip coming down from the bed compared to the existing flip out level step of the previous generation.
@craiglayfield35557 жыл бұрын
xplmr1, great question! The way this one is designed, it actually has a hinge and spring under the step so when you step on it, it flattens out. That way, it's pushing against your foot and gives even more traction.

tuffer and hold more huh? I challenge that my friend.

I have a 2016 f350 srw, it is very harsh ride in front with snow plow prep springs. How does the 2017 ride, Did they change anything in front suspension?
@craiglayfield35557 жыл бұрын
Sidney White, the ride is significantly smoother on this generation. I've had several people say it feels a lot like an F-150. That's due in part to the weight difference, adaptive steering, and improvements to the suspension. Thanks for asking!
@austinaubinoe7 жыл бұрын
Sidney White it's all relative man. I have a 2004 and a 2016 F250 4x4 both with the heavy springs. The 16 is so much smoother. Always going to have harshness and sloppier steering with a solid axle truck.

@davehoward27916 жыл бұрын
That's what I just bought, FX4 XLT Premium with 6.2L, 3.73 gears, and Magnetic paint. Awesome truck, handles my 11,000 lb boat with ease and gets about 14.5 mpg empty city/highway combined. Love the truck, lots of power and very comfortable as an everyday driver. 👍
@shanewoods57027 жыл бұрын
I've seen clips about those push button starts, where the thing doesn't work. shorts out or something, so what happens if you're way out country, off roading, camp for the night and when you go to start it up in the morning..... nothing? how do you trace and fix the fault? and if not?
@craiglayfield35557 жыл бұрын
shane woods, good question! I would say that is crazy unlikely, but if it were to happen, you do have Ford roadside assistance with any new truck for 5 years or 60k miles and I think they would try to arrange a way to help you out. But again, that is a highly unlikely scenario.

Noble Soccer197 I did not have a Platinum 2016 (and only a 17 Platinum) available but it was a Lariat ultimate which has all the same equipment as a 16 Platinum. So the only difference was style.

Mike Hanrahan I am 5’ 8”. They did raise them a little bit with the new body style but you still are under 13’ clearance.

2016 pros for me- I have a xlt f250 so the things I like is, I like the grill better, no camera's only mirrors, and no screen. So... that's my opinion.

@craiglayfield35557 жыл бұрын
Tom Sitar it is actual leather. It's not the saddle style leather like they used to put on the old King Ranches, but it is leather. Thanks for asking!
@slickwillie977 жыл бұрын
The mirrors suck. I have a 17 F-150 and a 15 F-250 and I'll take the old ones any day.
@alikockaya762 жыл бұрын
240p quality? Come on man what did you use to record this with a rock?
@TXrapidracer7 жыл бұрын
So much easier to drive? Many of us never had an issue with the prior models, if you feel cramped in an F-250 then you've gotta lose weight because they are spacey as hell on the inside already. I was really disappointed that the F-250's look so much like an F-150- this is one of the biggest things that has been keeping me a Ford man for over 17 years. I have a 2012 F-250 that I have added a cold air intake, after market exhaust, upgraded the inside of the turbo and pop off so that I get almost 40 psi of boost (stock will give you a little over 20 max even though the indicator goes up to 40), and if I am not pulling anything I average 19-20 mpg on the highway. Add the crazy expensive price tag to this and I will have to decline. I will stick to my 2012 for as long as I possibly can. Nice looking F-150 though..... I mean F-250.

Why are the 2017s so damn tall. I have 6 inches of lift on my chevy and parked by one at work and they were the same height
@craiglayfield35557 жыл бұрын
Banshō Ten'in Ford trucks are all a bit higher than Chevy's because they use a different suspension system. For these trucks specifically, they gave them more height than the 16s for more clearance and the larger suspension system gives a better ride, especially when hauling
@TheJared14456 жыл бұрын
They put the cab of the f150 and put it on the SDs. And have redone the rest of the truck.

has ford restyled the steel wheels as well, the 2015 model had awful looking steel wheels, haven't seen the new trucks styling other than an upgraded aluminum wheel option.
@craiglayfield35557 жыл бұрын
Mark K, thanks for asking! Though the higher trim models have different wheels this year, the steel wheels are going to remain unchanged from 16 to 17.
@austinaubinoe7 жыл бұрын
Mark K the worst were the 2005 to 2007 ish with the flat looking steel wheels! The ones on my 2016 are the same as the ones on my dad's 2010. the best steel wheels were the 99-04 16" wheels. made in Canada and look just like Cragers!
@justacajun907 жыл бұрын

@brikkijim7 жыл бұрын
why not show lariat vs lariat. platinum is way more expensive. I just bought a Lariat f 350 for 58K and it didn't come with heated seats. I work the truck hard as a mason that is why I went with Ford but they lack in standard options.
@craiglayfield35557 жыл бұрын
james morgan those were the most similar trucks that we had at the time. The 16's we're going fast and we only had a couple 17's so I had to work with what I had.

When Ford brings back the Bronco if its small like the Bronco II theyll be wasting their money. If theyre smart it will be similar in size and design as the F250 with out the pick up bed of course

@papa13.lvraiders327 жыл бұрын
it's tougher I doubt that it's made out of aluminum which makes it a soft hunk of junk if your driving one of these u should hope that u don't get hit by a geo would be pretty embarrassing for the idiot that bought the coke can with a motor

I didn't think anyone had an uglier truck then Chevy . Well ford now has it . Really disappointed.

derrick connor Well,Chevy trucks ARE really ugly,so that must be pretty bad.Guess we all have to move to Ram.
@neddyned38027 жыл бұрын
Has Ford wised up yet and made the gas fill panel more secure? Most modern cars have a release switch inside the car, which is smart as it prevents the village jester from contaminating the gas tank and easily destroying an expensive engine. There are a lot of real $hits out there these days.
@craiglayfield35557 жыл бұрын
Neddy Ned they don't have a lock on the cover but there is a mechanism that keeps anything from entering the tank unless by a gas nozzle.
