Rosberg was genuinely talented. Just because Hamilton, one of the fastest drivers ever, had a little edge over him, doesn't mean Rosberg wasn't super fast. It's not black and white, most drivers would be a handful of tenths per lap off Hamilton and they wouldn't even give him a challenge.

Rosberg was really consistent in 2016.Even though Hamilton had bad reliability and luck,it was Rosberg who capitalised on opportunities unlike Vettel in 2018.

Ragzz Why do people immediately think that just because Rosberg won the championship he’s supposed to be a better driver than Hamilton. He won that one year and that was enough.

This should be obvious to everyone because, at that time, Vettel was the only 4xWDC on the grid and helping Hamilton become a 4xWDC as well would have meant that Vettel no longer had bragging rights as the then current most successful driver on the grid. Vettel clearly had zero intention of helping Hamilton join him as a 4xWDC at Abu Dhabi 2016.

@@MT-pv2rf I'd also wager that Vettel was disgusted by Hamilton's unsporting behaviour, hence his refusal to play along. He also probably didn't want to deprive his felloe countryman of a WDC title. I tend to be reasonably positive about HAM, but his actions there were indefensible.

Yea Lewis is a great driver and i do agree he is one of the best drivers, but personally if u ask me my answer would be Alonso. He consistently outperforms his car and teammate. And Vandoorn is not a crappy driver either. But you can relate for Nico lil bit because he had to climb his way to his championship(not saying Lewis didnt, but lewis has a lil bit easier with most of his career in the best car)

Quinkos Vaine Alonso and Hamilton are magnificent, but the only time you can properly compare the two was when they were teammates, getting the same points, but in Hamilton's first season. I know the team favoured Hamilton, but Alonso played dirty tricks, like that of Hungary and the pitstop scinario. Alonso is certainly more aggressive and better to watch, but Hamilton I would say is faster and overall better, but it pisses me off when he has his down times, like so far this season.

And to this day, Nico is still one of, if not the most, underappreciated F1 world champion

Actually Rosberg was just to far ahead. Vettel could've done a Ricciardo divebomb maybe, but Rosberg defended and only Ricciardo (maybe his teammate aswell) is capable of that type of move.

Albert Wijnkoop Vettel is also capable of that but he doesn't take such big risks..especially not when ur countryman is fighting for the championship..only Verstappen would drive reckless

Well, Hamilton had a ton of engine failures, potentially costing him up to a hundred points. So i dont think hes saying that Mercedes helped Rosberg to a title, i think Hamilton meant that he still was the best driver out of the 2 if he won that race with all the pressure on Both drivers. I do still think its strange to see Hamilton have problems with the engine as the only Mercedes powered car in the field, whereas the german driver in the german car had none, which coincidentally would be very good for the team marketing wise. Also, Rosberg may have complained seeing as he has Done most of the technical development together with Michael Schumacher and has been there since day one, when suddenly this british chav Comes in and takes all the credit. It all seems a bit coincidental to me
