I think in step sequence and lift, V/M > P/C. But when you see P/C, it's art, how many people here say it's beautiful, they are artist. When I see V/M I never say it's art, but ice dance. It's the big difference.
@agpban8 жыл бұрын
+christian margeric I don't have problem with circus lift. I would like P/C make some lift more visual. The come back of V/M will be very interesting, the competition will be very tight in next 2 years. And seeing V/M in training, no doubt that P/C will be more motivate. It's this year if W/P or S/S want to win if not, the next year will be very difficult with V/M and with P/C who raise like a meteorite. Already, we're seing their improvement in comparaison with mozart ( despite the concusion).

I miss this program and the short too, they only showed twice in that year actually, European and World. I wish I can see them perform again in competition with this program.

You're right, usually I find commentators to be beyond annoying but he's good.

And for the NBCSN broadcast of the 2017 WC, Ben Agosto was teamed up with Tanith Belbin (White) and they have improved as announcers even more, since (1) they stayed quiet throughout G&G's FD (as hushed as the audience -- who only roared with applause at the very end) and then gave really heartfelt and insightful comments afterwards: Ben, again, almost at a loss for words, and Tanith almost in tears (as were most of the audience and online viewers). I really hope they (Ben and Tanith) are the U.S. announcers for ice-skating (and especially ice-dancing) at the 2018 Olympics (and not people who know nothing about the sport and talk constantly through a performance). I agree with Jentany, below: Ben has a "great voice for broadcasting", also.

Ben Agosto. He's come to be someone I consider the absolutely best commentator (internationally) for ice-dance commentating; some of his articulate, detail commentary during the 2017-18 Grand Prix season were outstanding: no bias, giving details of SD and FD requirements, what to look for in each ice-dance duo, insightful to the max.

Totally agree. Love the commentator as much as the skating!

+Maddie Siegmund They are great. But I just watch S/S siblings from the US, they are beyond great. They will win in Boston unless they make an error. P/C do not skate as close to each other as S/S does, and their sync is not quite as good. But those lifts that P/C did were fantastic...Although P/C got a 182, S/S got a 190.
@agpban8 жыл бұрын
+Vette gaddia Be careful, in national competition, scoring is always overated.
@vettegaddia62348 жыл бұрын
agpban And so are the European Championships where they always overscore their own. Javi got a SP/FS combine score of 302 when he had four significant errors including a touchdown with his hands on his opening quad and a incomplete triple axel with a big fall. Javier was actually better in the FS in Spain(ironic), when he only made one small error in the FS. But his total there was 292 comparing to 302 at the Europeans. I don't think Javi's many flaws at the European should be only 28 points behind the more difficult, artistic and perfect skate from Hanyu at the grand prix(330 total). The touch down should be -3 goe, the fall should be -3 goe, -1 for the fall and -? for the downgrading of the triple axel. He should not have gotten such a huge FS score for those deductions unless the judges didn't give him any. And, BTW, his big stepout on his first quad in the SP was actually given +1 goe by some judges...I love Javi, but he is the most overscored skater today, even more than Chan. Even without any misses, his artistry, choreography, and spins should not be in Yuzuru Hanyu's league.
@MissMel91108 жыл бұрын
+Vette gaddia Last year P/C scored better at worlds than at europeans (even better than at their own nationals), so... I think they could score a lot more this year as well. But I love S/S's programs this year, I hope they medal.
@innerspirit33738 жыл бұрын
I love SS but this two have pure artistry, a soft and fluid movement and a connection between them like nobody else. It's beyond words... In many ways the Americans have a different style more athletic style to their skating... But this is art on ice, such beauty and effortlessly done.

@lemongan8 жыл бұрын
+Sophie Tognini Romain is P/C main coach. But he had coached other team too. Now with the level both couple share, I think it would be better to keep the Haguener card for P/C, to make program and spirit of both couple different.
@troyaturner19798 жыл бұрын
I agree. The way they skated here and their SD at Worlds, I have a feeling that they're going to be the team to beat heading into the Olympics in South Korea.
@corinegonot8 жыл бұрын
+Sophie Tognini He confirmed in this interview fs-gossips.com/romain-haguenauer-first-of-all-a-lot-of-work/ he will be involved in V/M's coaching. They're all professionals and know how to handle this type of situation. Anyway, P/C are his special students and they know how to keep to themselves to look over their shoulders at what other teams are doing. So I wouldn't worry too much. It will be a good booster for them.

yes, you can find it on the youtube account of Julie Wie under Papadakis/ Cizeron music: FD 2015 /16. I'm not including the link as it seems to make my comment invisible to others, copyright issue maybe .
