It is no comparison to the GMC Denali or Silverado. Every time I get in I learn some new amazing feature Ford truly out did it on this one. All and the massage seats are awesome...

@@ed5649 I have had mine for 1 month and i look at it everyday like the first day I seen it!(I know it’s only been a month 😂).It’s so beautiful, it may be used and older but I love it. It has fuel 20 inch wheels with 33’s and I already took it 4wheeling. That truck has been a beast man, best decision I ever made. All the features it has, like to power folding side steps, leather seats, came with aftermarket bed cover, panoramic sunroof, led headlights, Sony subwoofer, backup and 360degree camera etc… it has so much and I even test drove a dodge and a newer Chevy and I just didn’t like the features. Mine is the coyote v8 btw and it has a 36 gallon extended gas tank and takes e85 which has been really cheap to fill up. Don’t pay 60+k for a new truck. There’s plenty of older used ones out there.

don't do it. trading your silverado would be a mistake. the turbo in the f-150 has been known for oil leaks, if you have to make a change then get the 5.0.

I really love the F150 Platinum thinking of getting the 2015 F150 Platnium after college when i get to trade in my old 2004 F150. Really nice. Great Review. I see these all around in the town i live in.

I"m impressed, this has more features than the Silverado. I wanted to know if Ford uses the same oil life percentage indicator like GM does though..

Whispered X, glad that you enjoyed viewing the truck! To answer your question, yes. In the center display within the gauge cluster there is an oil life percentage monitor to let you know where your vehicles oil life is at. Thanks for watching!

If you are looking for a truck that is not being used for towing, and more so just for city driving, do you recommend something like the Laramie Ram 1500 with their ecodiesel, or the Lariat F-150 with ecoboost?

Hi Jimmy, thanks for checking out our video. To be bluntly honest, I have zero knowledge or expertise on any Dodge/RAM products so I can't really say in that regard. Having driven the F-150 in all of its trim and engine levels, I can say that the Lariat is extremely comfortable to be in and has engine choices that allow you to get the exact power/fuel economy ratio that best suits your needs. Once the 2017 F-150 arrives at dealers, it will come with a 10-speed automatic transmission which in theory could bump the MPG up, but that is entirely hypothetical.

I think you are wrong on the braking, i have the same truck, it does alert you on collision, but does not brake for you, just primes the brake pedal in anticipation.

I saw a Ford F150 Platinum earlier today. The exterior color was a golden brown. I checked the Ford website but couldn't find that color. Is anyone familiar with that color?

The color you are thinking of is likely Caribou. It is not available on the Platinum edition unfortunately (it's one of my favorite colors), but is on the Lariat which can be closely optioned to Platinum spec and would look very similar if such had been done. Hope that helps!

Good presentation however you need to learn a little more about how turbos work. Your statement: "two turbos, each covering half of the cylinders" is completely incorrect. Turbos have a limited range they can work within. If you have 1 scroll turbo, it will either cover the upper end or the lower end power range depending on the scroll. With the duel scroll setup, you have one for the lower power range and one for the upper power range so that you are getting adequate boost throughout the whole cycle. I hope this helps. There is a lot out there if you want to read up on twin turbo setups.

Brian, thank you for your comment. By Ford's design, the twin-turbo setup on the F-150 with the 3.5L Ecoboost® V6 does in fact cover each half of the cylinders. One of the turbo chargers is linked to cylinders 1-3 and the other 4-6. They are also twin-scroll turbo chargers which allows for immediate and linear power response by utilizing both the cool intake air and hot exhaust air to rotate the twin turbine wheels for each given turbocharger. You are correct, a turbo is most efficient only within certain parameters and while many twin turbo setups are as you described (older 2.7T Audi's for instance) the F-150 is a different breed. I hope this helps explain what I was referencing in the video and thank you for watching!

bought this vehicle. loved it until it started pissing all over my wife in the passenger seat. Water leak from the sunroof after only one year. Cost me $200 to fix what I would consider a manufactures defect. I just went over 35,000 miles and so they say, "it's out of warranty." It's the last Ford that I will buy. I'm going back to Toyota. Leaky Aluminum POS!!
