Am I in New Orleans! These fine musicians play and sing like they are natives. At the recovery after all the solos they fill the air with pure Dixieland. Magali is wonderful again. Thank the gods that Joan Chamorro started developing these young stars from the time when they were old enough to pick up their instruments. Well done sir! Do they knight people in Spain!

Magli takes us on a lazy ride to America’s deep south. It’s Sunday morning at a country church. The Preacher has given his sermon and the music begins. Soon all the heartbeats become one, and the congregation sends its faith love straight to heaven.

Beautiful rendition Joan, just beautiful, thank you.. This tune has very special meaning for me as this was selected by my close muso mates: Ernie Walker (Sax), Horace Walker (Trumpet), Derek Stewart (Sax), Tommy Smith (Guitar) who with me on Trumpet, played this tune, walking into the Funeral Service of my beloved wife & Soul Mate, Seeta who passed away 46 months ago. Brought back special memories. Thank you.

Maybe I'm weird but while one person is playing I watch the other band members. You can see the enjoyment and the respect for the artistry of each other. That's what makes the music so great.

I love Magali's singing style so much. Always puts so much emotion into it. Even when she jumbles up the lyrics, she sings with such conviction that it works great still.

The more I listen to this performance, the more I discover more beautiful moments. The recover of the band after the Josep's guitar solo, is glorious!! Such an inspiring moment... It sounds true New Orleans ... Is one of the great performances of the group. Thanks maestro!

I agree. The horn section brought me to New Orleans. If this band played there, I would have assumed that they were all born and raised in Mississippi. It is truly amazing how this group is playing New Orleans Jazz better than many of the bands there and keeping the jazz tradition alive. Bravo to Joan Chamorro and all the musicians he has brought together and play with.

Hi Joan - one again this song just went right through me. Luigi and Tony and the regular guys just terrific. Magali was fantastic and Andrea on the trumpet. Magali really put feeling into this song. Another one she did that with is On the Sentimental Side, perfectly portrayed the sad girl in a relationship, perfectly. But as I said 3 years ago - just like a New Orleans street band - just as good. Just watched After You've Gone with Eva on the vocal and Luigi blowing out his solo. Thanks again Joan for all this good music. If any of the kids remember me say I'm still enjoying the songs from years ago, love them all.

Emotional vocal in Magali's unique style and New Orleans - inspired backing make for an enjoyable performance. Esteve Pi's work knows no frontier ... surely here is a drummer "for all seasons" - never a stick or a brush out of time and place whatever the idiom.

Magali es la Reina del Jazz,su voz es apasionada y sensual,su estilo es único..mis Felicitaciones Magali...Este Martes en el Jamboree a disfrutar con Joan...Maestro Chamorro que tales cantantes salieron de Sant Andreu Jazz Band y que bueno saber que ese semillero continúa (Rita,Abril,Elia,Alba Armengou,Alba Esteban,Johana,Elsa Armengou). Magali is amazing, what will grow out of her in the next 5 years? My daily visit to the pages of this excellent Joan Chamarros temple of jazz places me in a cheerful and optimistic mood. I see that many users have similar feelings and thoughts, which is why I believe that tracking these pages should be treated as self psychotherapy for disillusioned elderly people :)
