This is a condensed version of a longer video I made. Its available on my channel if want a longer listen. This is a side by side comparison of start up, revs, and interior sound. After a weeks of research it came down to a Borla S-type or Flowmaster Super 44. I chose the Flowmaster. This is a 2016 Ram 1500 Sport in Stinger Yellow, special edition for 2016.

I have a super 44 (reso's on) on my Reg cab sport as well. I really like the tone. It does have a little drove at 80mph though but nothing to bad.

If you take off the resonators it’s really not that big of a difference tbh it sounds a lil deeper and has a nice tone to it still still doesn’t idle loud and sounds good

Did you buy full cat back or just the super 44 muffler and put it on ur stock exhaust and also what size pipes? Thank you

Did you get a whole system or just change the muffler? I'm doing some shopping and trying to see whats the best way to get the best sound. BTW great sound on your truck.

Lucio Aquino Hi. I did not get the full catback package. This is a muffler replacement and then tip replacement. Stock pipes in between.

The_Real_iDad thanks for the reply im thinking going that route just change the muffler and the tips, still debating on keeping the resonators or getting rid of them

For me it came down to cost as well. It was cheaper to do the muffler and tips versus buy the whole catback. Trade off was not getting 3” pipe from the cats back. I debated endlessly about taking the resonators off. I took the safe route and kept them.

I'm wanting to do this to my 2014 ram 1500 hemi. Only problem is I don't want it to sound to loud on the inside to where I can't really listen to music. So I wanted to ask with this exhaust installed will it get in the way of listening to music while driving in the city and highway? And if I have passengers will we need to be yelling in order to hear each other or can we talk at a normal tone and not have a problem?

Hi. One thing I have learned is that everyone's opinion of how much is too much exhaust sound in the cab is personal. In this video and my others, the in cab parts are windows rolled up. So, is the exhaust sound noticeable? Oh yes it is, no question! Is it too much? Not really. I can listen to music, talk normally? yep. Now... the caveat here is cruising speed 1.5 to 2K RPM. If I am accelerating or heavy pedal downyou will hear it over radio and/or conversation. Usually only do that for a few seconds though. Hope this helps.

I know people that have kept their stock tips and it shouldn't make a difference.

I also have a 2016 1500 Sport Crew Cab and I'm looking to change out the muffler and tips as you did. Do you notice any drone when the truck goes into "eco mode" and drops 4 cylinders?

There is a difference when MDS kicks in. You can here it switch to 4 cyl. It's kind of subjective, some people really hate it. I anticipated that it would be worse then it really is. I suspect the stock resonators left on help this quite a bit. I have no real drone to speak of until about 80 mph in 8th gear. 75 no problem, 85 no prob. Even then, to me, it's not very noticeable. On a side note, I turn MDS off quite a bit since I don't like the half second lag on the throttle as it turns off.
