Customer complaint: transmission shifting odd and winding noise. No check engine light no transmission codes. I test drove vehicle and did not feel any transmission shifting issue. The vehicle shifted normal but I did hear the winding noise and it was definitely coming from the transmission pan area. After pulling transmission pan to investigate, we found excessive metal shavings. We determined that the winding noise was from the transmission pump starving for fluid due to clogged filter.
