One thing that helped me get the old battery out (and the new one in) was rolling the battery on to its side before I tried to lift it out.

I was getting pissed at trying to yank it out straight. Then I figured out the roll to side trick and it worked great.

I’m glad to see you can remove it without having to take out the coolant over flow haha. Thanks for the video!

I just removed my battery, I had to take the bolt holding the radiator overflow off 😂😂. Super simple still tho! Thanks again for this video.

Virtual beer for you bro. My 2018 suburban premiers battery started taking a shit recently and I popped the hood to change the battery and that terminal on top through me through a loop. Thanks for clarifying all this

Great video. I loosened the 1 screw to the coolant tank, but didn’t remove. Then- Turn the new battery on its side to get it in.

Thank you for this overview! I wasn’t entirely comfortable putting metal tools on batteries and this helped me get the swap out done very easily. Appreciate it!

Those GM engineers are very good at designing parts that last days after the warranty expires....you’d think they would focus more on quality and making vehicles that last.

Not too impressed with the battery, I have a 2012 ram Cummins that still has the factory batteries in it.

Mine lasted 5 years which is pretty normal...

Great video my friend. I am interested in purchasing a 2016 with 70,000 miles. How do I know if the battery is worn or needs to be routinely changed? Is there a way to test the lifespan of the battery or signs it may fail soon?

Use a battery pack to keep power to the cables or via the 12v cigarette plug. No need to reset radio or fuel tables.

where do you get that battery pack to keep the power to the cables

I am not strong enough to get that battery out of that hole without removing that one 10mm nut off the 6mm stud holding the coolant tank in that corner. It made all the difference in the world.

Battery Sevice 101: ALWAYS disconnect negative terminal 1st! This eliminates sparking & potential of battery explosion.

Yeah my bad I always get it wrong Lol, at least it wasn’t being charged I already had a battery blow up in my face. Glasses saved my eyes

This battery setup is Chevy's solution to the big question of how to make routine maintenance as hard and time wasting as possible, probably to discourage Joe from working on his own vehicle. I hope you go bankrupt and lose all your marketshare. If you ever wonder why Americans pay a premium for Toyota's, here's a reason.

Yeah they don’t want you working on your own stuff anymore
