F-150 KING OF TRUCKS ouch, that's quite spendy for a damn truck. But, having said that, it's not the most shocking I've seen. I have at least one colleague who has spent more than that amount on options on his car you can barely notice! Long live conspicuous consumption.

I see all of the people bitching on here about price, for a truck, and seriously, if a majority of what you use your truck for is highway towing, maybe a camper, with some Motorcycles and quads, and occasionally throwing stuff in the back, helping somebody move, things like that, it's perfect, who the hells wants a nasty ass old beat up truck if they're going to drive cross country, towing shit, picking up the kids from school, driving your daily commute. Some people would like a quiet, semi-comfortable ride, working AC and heat, good brakes, shit like that, if you can afford this why and that's what your truck is for why buy an old pile of shit just because it's a "real truck", real truck meaning it smells like ass, the body looks like it rolled down a mountain, the brakes might stop you within a mile, good luck with having decent AC if the truck even came with it from the factory. But you know, everybody seems to think they know what's best for other people, as if everyone lives exactly like they do. This truck is perfect for a lot of buyers.

I think Ford has finally done a great all around job on the new 17's. I drove a friend of mine's 2011 f250 super duty with the diesel and (it was/is tuned heavily) but the fords have much better throttle response than the GM's do. Not sure why GM programs the slow throttle response on the duramax. Once I tuned my gm the throttle was way more responsive and acted completely different than the stock tune. (running the heavy tow tune and regular driving). I have a really good friend who is a former Ford engineer and he said they have been working on this 17' model since around 2008 ish. Evidently their was a lot of political hoops to go through to just let the engineers build a completely new diesel truck. I like the aluminum bodies simply because they won't rust as well and it makes perfect sense to reinvest the weight back into chassis upgrades to handle the load better. Great review as usual.

I have this truck in same color and king ranch too. All i can say is this is a beautiful thing fellas. I know its expensive but it sure is nice. Mine tows up to 21,500 5th wheel towing. I tow my 19,000lb 5th wheel toyhauler and it does so very well. This is a towing beast. Like a cadillac but its a truck. Sound system is killer too. I hear hp is 440 and torque is 925 foot lbs. it feels like you are going 30mph when going 55. Feels like 55mph when going 75-80 mph. Got mine used with 60k miles on it.

I was in the same exact truck today, except it had the vista glass roof and a spray in bed liner. I like the standard moonroof that I have in my 2015 F250 Lariat Crew Cab Diesel better. The 2017 is an awesome truck. The 2017 Super Duty just won the Motor Trend truck of the year for the first time ever. We will see how the aluminum body will hold up long term. Hopefully no galvanic corrosion issues like on the Explorers and Mustangs.

Beautiful truck, I have always liked the King Ranch trucks. I am glad you mentioned payload at the end, was really hoping you would show the sticker on the door pillar for the payload of that specific truck. All those options on the 250 can't leave much for payload. It is almost a waste to have that 6.7L but not have the payload to actually hookup to the trailers that engine is capable of pulling.

Its absolutely lovely looking truck. Looks like Ford hit a home run. The things that scare me are the huge headlights and tail lights, I bet those cost a fortune to replace. I looked at one these trucks at the dealership a while back and it was put together horribly, with body panels not aligning correctly, doors didn't align correctly, interior parts looked sloppy. But when I looked again last week it seemed they got much of those fixed.

Big Truck Big RV how about you try comparing the same trims like Denali vs king ranch? Denali has things like wireless phone charging, noise cancelation, magnetic ride control, THINGS that actually matter to MAN! Meanwhile Fords got all these useless backup camera's that only 16 year olds care about! if you can't backup a truck, you shouldn't own one.
@BigTruckBigRV7 жыл бұрын
DURAMAX_DELIGHT: I did a review of a maxed out GMC SLT 3500HD with wireless charging and every feature thats on a Denali. Oh, and Mag ride is not available on the HD Denali. also, Denali HD has no insulation improvements over the SLT. Also, Denali competed against Platinum trim and SLT competes against Lariat Ultimate, which is pretty much a King Ranch minus the special colored leather.

Just some things to note : -Make sure you keep those running board hinges washed and lubed or they will seize, especially in the parts of North America that experience weather that promote corrosion issues. -Make sure you order/purchase your truck with those upfitter switches because the factory ones CAN'T be added after the fact. -You didn't actually show that the tailgate unlocks with intelligent access because you already had the truck unlocked from pulling on the door handle after you got out. -Great video!

@BigTruckBigRV7 жыл бұрын
David Dwight: From my personal experience, both GM trucks (GMC and Chevy) as well as Ford have bar far the lowest cab noise. The Cummins is an outstanding power plant, but noisier in the cab. that being said, their all pretty dang quiet these days. Less noisy than a gas V8 from just 15yr ago.

Unless they changes things in 2017, to unlock the sensor is on the back of the handle not the outside. The one on the outside is for locking. Do you need to start the truck to adjust the mirrors like you stated or just turn the key forward to the accessory position?

Aircraft are made out of aluminum...Pretty sure passenger aircraft move 500+ MPH and don't tear apart in the sky. Also aluminum doesn't rust, it only oxidizes so I can't see it being any worse in the snow/salt than a traditional truck. Chevy is even copying ford and spending nearly a billion$ to upgrade one of their facilities to manufacture aluminum parts. www.autoblog.com/2015/08/05/gm-%20-trucks-aluminum/

Got anything that aint over a year old? Not to mention, go look up how an aircraft is made, guess what, they have glass (iirc) in the aluminum... and it is just a coating over a structure, you can also shoot a bird at a airplane at 250mph and not rip though, let me try that on a ford bed eh? Ford did it to stay in class, the trucks were getting too heavy... aluminum corrodes what are you talking about it don't rust. When the vehicle is as thick as a soda can, ya, salt is going to turn it to powder.
@aarons30087 жыл бұрын
It will be interesting to see how the new gen f-250's handle high payload/tongue weight with less leafs then the 16's, hopefully the improved dampening rates will help. I found that GM's 2500HD's would handle a 3k payload with minimal sag but last gen super duty would squat real low with any significant weight in the bed which would make the headlights point sky high going down the highway, and yes I appreciate that you could add air bags to any truck to keep it from squatting but in my opinion a truck should be able to carry its rated max payload without sitting on the bump stops.
@BigTruckBigRV7 жыл бұрын
