Love the rig! I'm wanting to build one of these soon. Hadn't thought about going to 37s but they look like they fit well. Thanks for the vid!

How do you like the softopper? I DD my 2017 f250 but I think it would be a nice setup to camp by myself in the bed. its it pretty easy to remove and store when not in use? I don't want to use it every day but would love a temporary camper shell type setup.

something I haven’t heard people talk about is why 250 over 350 for an over landing style rig. would love to hear your thoughts

Because there's not much difference in a 250 to 350 except a rear spring price & 350 comes in dually other then that same truck but with a 10,000$ price difference
@Expeditionxoffroad3 жыл бұрын
The main difference between the two is the overload spring in the rear. The F250's use the same rear axle as the as the previous generation F350's so they are plenty strong. California also has some wacky towing laws. If you have a truck rated with a GVWR of 10,000 or more you need to run weight stickers and rate the truck for the load it will be handling if you're towing anything but an RV. Most 350/3500 trucks fall into this.

Nice build. What brand is your cold air intake? Is that S&B also?
@ajantics3 жыл бұрын
It’s the S&B particle separator intake. www.sbfilters.com/particle-separator/truck/ford-powerstroke-6-7

how the heck do you fit what are basically 39's on a 2.5 leveling kit? Did you trim some from the rear of the front wheel wheels?
@Expeditionxoffroad3 жыл бұрын
Very minor trimming in the inner fender well. Wheels are a +6mm offset.

No "urban" rim offsets, that's how....ha!

What was the thought process behind the 2.5 lift vs a 4.5?
@Expeditionxoffroad3 жыл бұрын
The truck sits so high stock there’s not much of a need to go higher. It fits 38’s with a 2.5” so clears large tires no problem. Additionally keeps the center of gravity lower. Lastly, easier to work out of. Grab things out of the bed, get into the truck etc.

@@bci1046 Expedition X Offroad 1 second ago Very minor trimming in the inner fender well. Shaved a little piece of the plastic off and nudge the aluminum behind with my thumb. Wheels are a +6mm offset.
