Is it just me or when the hellcat came in on the race the Silverado beat the raptor? Seemed like a really tight race for the 2nd run.

No Stock truck out there will beat the Raptor. The gearing in the 2nd gen Raptor is geared very aggressively toward speed and those tubors kick ass in elevation.

All these people making fun of the raptor for not winning more then it did. Consider the fact that the raptor is around 7 in. wider, sits higher, and has 35x12.5 in. bfgooddrich ko2 AT tires, vs the Chevy with 18-20 inch rims and little all seasons and it's really no surprise. Also you guys that said they tied in the second race. Read the comment from them saying Andre let off the throttle when Roman in the hellcat went off track. This race went exactly how I figured it would.

I’ve owned two Chevy’s before and they both had a ton of problems. Truck and Car were both Lemons. Have a Ford and haven’t had a problem since.

At sea level, the Chevy does about 5.9 and the Ford about 5.3. Chevy lost by 2 car lengths, not one, and the long they run, the farther the Chevy would fall behind.

What's this? Fords top of the line off-road race capable truck beat Chevys stock work built Silverado?

I've never seen such a pathetic start in a 6.2. When I floor my Denali 6.2 my tires spin like crazy. I know these guys favour the Raptor but this was a bit to obvious of a set up.

sport truck vs crew cab, ones aluminum and the other steel.. v8 has no forced induction ie turbos, where as the tiny v6 has twin turbo. huge torque rating and barely made a car length of a difference, it's sad really especially when you consider that the chevy 6.2 kept up better than the old 6.2 raptor.. shows how much ford lacks in performance, I really feel bad for the new Ford Gt now!!!

I've owned four new Chevy 5.3 Silverado's, one GTO w.LS 6.0 and now one F-150 3.5 EcoBoost and I have to say I would never buy another 5.3. The LS platform is an awesome engine and should be the only V8 Chevy offers. But I have to admit the EcoBoost is faster and easily out pulls any of the Chevy pickups I've owned. Also the F-150 surprised me on how dam agile that truck is. What I mean is the Aluminum body and stronger frame is something you notice on a daily basis. At this point I would probably prefer the Ford with EcoBoost (good mileage) but I would love to own a new Chevy with the LS.

Who the hell would come up with this idea? A Silverado vs a Raptor? Are you serious?!?! Next one you should try a Z06 vs Ford Fiesta, both stock to see which one is faster at the quarter mile. Seems fair.

You basically took a modified F150 and put it against a stock 1500. It's not even an equal race. Put the 150 against the 1500, stock for stock. 1500 would beat that F150 for days. And on top of that, all you managed to do is show that Dodge doesn't have a RAM capable of competing.

Could y'all do a mashup between the 2017 f-150 with the 3.5 ecoboost and 10 speed transmission versus the 2017 gas powered 6.2 f-250 towing the same amount? I went in to multiple ford dealerships and they were all trying to push the new ecoboost over the super duty. I'm curious to see if which has better fuel economy while towing, and the difference in ride quality between the two while towing the same weight.

If I wanted fast i would buy a car, a truck is meant for hauling and towing and offroad, not for drag racing. Real Trucks have V8's. I heard a new F150 EcoShit with modded exhaust last weekend and I thought I had a Honda Civic behind me, sounded like a million bees fucking a kazoo.

Very cool and fun video. I'd love to hear you guys give each of your opinions on what seems like Ford trying to kill off the V8 by going to the Ecoboost. I saw the writing on the wall with the manual transmission, now the V8 seems to be getting phased out. I'm a die hard Ford V8 guy and hate to think of a world with 'muscle' cars and trucks that sound like my chainsaw.

I don't live far from here, I'm in NE Denver and lined up against a crew cab Raptor in my 17 6.2 Denali half ton (no mods) and trust me we were dead even light to light three times up to about 70. This race is a crew cab vs extended cab no idea of axle ratios on either vehicle, that all plays a part as well as the driver. Both are great vehicles neither of which I'd take to the track but each serves a slightly different purpose. Cool video..either way.

That's the point Gm went with big displacement to achieve performance. Then they deactivate cylinders to help fuel economy. I've heard of a lot of problems with that system too by the way. If y'all wanna slam Ford about mechanical problems be intellectually honest and admit where Gm sucks too. Then there's the altitude argument. LOL another good one! So Ford engineered a package that doesn't lose as much output at altitude and somehow that's an unfair advantage? What should we do level the mountains so Chevy has a better chance at not losing a pissing contest? Oh yeah the Ford is lighter blah blah blah!
