Deep Indr Thank you. I've put a few other things on. Different license plate bracket, smoked out tail light. A GPS center mount with a touratech GPS holder. The GPS was a must for my riding. I went to Portland, ME last week. I'd have been lost without it for sure.

Thank you. I actually got the mustache bar off eBay but had to paint it as the original paint oxidized real quick. I think I paid around $130 for it. Works fine too as the bike was tipped over by a bunch of kids playing on it while my son rode it once and went to a funeral. It was outside in the church parking lot and witnesses said some dude let his kids play on it and they tipped it over. The bar worked. Just a bent front brake handle, handle bar grip and a scratch on the highway foot peg and muffler bezel. The actual highway foot pedals are Harley-Davidson brand. I had bought some from eBay, they broke with my foot resting on one, and I bought a set from Revzilla, they also broke. So I went with HD brand and they've been on there since 2017.

Mark Hey thanks! The lights are a kit from Custom Dynamics and they are white running lights but turn amber when you hit the turn signals. Same as the back bet red only. Both kits run around $100 each and the rear needs a module to make them turn-stop-run. I got the foot pegs from the dealership. I tried the EBay/Amazon pegs and they broke immediately. Pot metal from China. So go with the good stuff and save the hassle. I may have put in the part numbers in other comments on here but I can't remember. I don't have the paperwork here with me now. It's buried in a box back home. But you can look it all up on their website and their customer service is great so call them with your bike specifics and they'll send you what works on your bike for the lights. Bruce Lee Hey thanks for asking. Before the mod, the rear turn lights only came on when you activated the turn signals. Other than that, they were off all the time. The new mod takes the two new lights and a separate box that plugs in under the seat to make them turn/stop/run lights. Hope this helps! Ride safe!

Don’t I know it! But I fixed it. I did a 500 mile trip and my head was pounding. The V&H staggered Big Shots end around the rear axle, sort of. I put in the “quiet” baffles which took off like 3 decibels. Like taking the razor’s edge off a knife. Still cuts but not sharp. Then I put on a set of hard bags from a wrecked Road King. Right bag sits right over the pipes and it is very pleasant to ride now. Still loud but not so bad for the rider or passenger. Love it!

About the bag, I found it at a Harley dealership in Grand Prairie, TX. Longhorn HD to be exact. I got it off the shelf. They had a ton of them but only 1 with the FB logo. chris smith Hey. Thanks for asking. The turn lights are from Custom Dynamics, and are not a Harley Brand. My dealership just happens to carry them. Go to customdynamics.com and check out their lights. They have an LED TURN SIGNALS tab for the DYNAMIC RINGS. Their webpage has a phone number and an email address where you can send them your bike info and what you want and they will help. I know the lights depend on your bulbs. Like it you have 1157 it 1156 bulbs. And I bought the little box that converted my rear turn signals from just turn signals, to the run/stop/turn style. The smoked lens covers were from Harley and your dealer should have those in stock. But I’m sorry as I don’t have the original part numbers. It depends on the bulbs. You take out the bulb and the new part is just a plug in thing and then you pop the lens cover back on and that’s it. The rear is the same. If you want the run/stop/turn function, there is a separate little box that plugs into the wires to the rear and it will go under the seat. It’s simple enough, but since your dealer doesn’t carry them, it would be best if you call Custom Dynamics. The number is 1-800-382-1388. Hope this helps. Ride safe.

Hey. Yes they have to be relocated. I'm sorry if I forgot to mention that. Nearly every Harley dealership should have the little relocation kit. It just brings them back a few inches so the sissy bar mounts will work.

Hey! Thanks for asking. It all comes with the lights. Simple plug and play. When you remove the bulb, the new bulb has all the electronics built in. Not cheap but so simple to install.

Demetrius Valentine Hey thanks for the comment. I've only taken one lengthy trip 2 up. We put over 200 miles on it that trip and it was fine. She weighs less than 120 and said she was fine on it. You will never get the soft ride you get from a touring seat, but I was comfortable too and I weigh around 250. You can feel a hard bump but after a while, you get to noticing them and brace up before impact, lol. If you are seriously going to be doing some long trips on a regular basis, I'd go with the Road King. I was "this close" to getting a RK. Would have only been a grand more than this S. But I don't regret this one at all. I just think it looks way sexier than the RK. The 2017 S is a Lo, even though they do not designate it as a Lo, it is. I think it's around an inch or so lower than the regular model. But the RK is not that much taller. I can flat foot a RK and I'm around 5'11" tall. 6" with my boots on. When I get this one paid for, I'm getting a Road Glide Ultra, for the serious trips. Hope this helps you in your decision. I'd schedule a ride from the Dealer. And take 2 up with you so he/she can see how it is. Ride Safe!

Update. Now that I’ve had it for 5 years, I can say the longest trip I’ve had was 600 round trip and after about 400 miles, it was getting uncomfortable. But that’s about the max I’ll do so I haven’t changed it out as of now.

x67y76x67 Thanks. Yes they are a kit from Custom Dynamics. I got mine from my local Harley Dealership. Prices there were the same as on Amazon and you know they will get the right ones. The front were around 90 bucks and they are just removing the bulbs and putting the new one in the bulb socket. The back needs a converter relay switch box that plugs in under the seat to make the turn signals light up as running lights and brake lights as they originally only come on with the turn signals. Now they stay on and also come on with the brakes. The bulbs are 1156 style so make sure you get the ones for that. Single bulb type for the rear. And the bulbs for the back are the same, they plug into the bulb socket. That kit was 90 for the bulbs and I think around 50 or 60 for the relay to make them work. A little pricey but hey, it really lights up the rear and I did it for safety. The smoked out lense covers are about 5 bucks for a pair, and you need two pairs. But you could use clear. I just liked the blacked out look they give it sitting still. So for 10 bucks, eh, it's just for looks. Because when you turn the ignition switch on, they all light up and you can't tell the lenses are smoked out then. You can get them at most HD dealerships or get online and buy them from Custom Dynamics. All LED. I haven't changed out the rear tail light to LED but I will soon enough. Thanks for the comments. x67y76x67 You welcome. You can do this yourself though. The whole project won't take you 5-10 minutes. The hardest part is taking off the seat. I would get a common screwdriver and wrap tape around the tip. This is to take off the lense covers. They just pop off. There is a little wedge cutout on the lense and you put your screwdriver in there and wiggle the cover off. The bulbs just twist in and out like any old car bulb. The converter box goes under the seat. When you take off the seat and are looking at the battery, at the right, rearward end of the area, just at the front of the rear fender, you will see a connector that runs back to the end of the bike. This is the rear light wires and the connector for them. Unplug it and the converter box plugs in there. Just connect the box into the ends of that connector. Like a splice in. You can zip tie it in or just wedge it down flat. Test the lights before you put the seat back on. They will work. It's that easy.

That sounds easy enough. I think I will do that. Thanks again for all the tips. I've ordered the tail light relocation kit, tall sissybar and pad, saddlebags and flush gas caps. I haven't ordered a windshield yet. Is your's an HD?

x67y76x67 Yes it is. I usually get most of my stuff from my local Harley Dealership. I do a lot of online shopping and searching and my dealership has better prices on most stuff I want. Sounds crazy but they do. I saved well over $100 on my Vance and Hines BigShot pipes. They also give me a military discount too. Not all dealerships will do that, but Longhorn HD in Grand Prairie, TX does.

Live2Ride no I didn't. What does it mean?

It's a Marking # that is Laser Scribed that appears all over the Bike. Inside the Motor etc... I'm finding out a lot more. It's basically a tracking # / stamp. You have to look closely, ie where the seat clips in, use a flashlight.

Live2Ride Cool. The dealership here wanted to sell me a safety thing where they stamp color coded invisible ink all over it for ID should it be stolen. Takes a black light to see the ink. I didn't opt for it. Now I know I didn't need to. Thanks!

Seems to me that I did see some etched numbers on the frame somewhere though. Just didn't think about it being there for security reasons. I'll take a look the next time though. Bonnita Khaliq Hey and thanks! I actually got it at the dealership. It was a package deal and has another larger bag that goes with it. But I only use that one traveling. Both come with plenty of straps and rain bag covers. I want to say it was anywhere from $70 to $100. I honestly cannot remember. And it had a cargo net to hold books in the seat and such. Awesome. You will love it! That 110 engine is no joke. I'be been sideways a few times. Reminds me of my old dirt bike riding days. LONG time ago! But the light setup is from Custom Dynamics. They have a website. The front Amber/White bulb kit is GEN-200-AW-1157. The rear is GEN-200-R-1156. The last 4 numbers designate the original bulb you have in your bike. The AW is for Amber/White and the R is for Red. Take note of the bulbs on your bike as the paper says that US models will have 1157 bulbs in front whereas International bikes will have 1156. 1157 bulbs have two filaments in them, for running lights and turn/brake signals. Just like the car bulbs. If the bulb has only one filament it is an 1156 for blinkers only. My bike has 1157 up front and 1156 in back. To get the rear signals to be run/stop/brake, you will need to buy a module for it. The part number is GEN-SMART-TPU-CAN. This will take that 1156 single bulb and make it running light/turn signal/and brake light. It fits under the seat and plugs in between the plug going back to the brake lights. If you pull off the seat, it will be the plug in the rear right corner under the seat. They say you need a load stabilizer or equalizer to keep the lights from blinking super fast but I've not needed it. Now the little green turn signal lights on the odometer blink fast, but the turn signals blink normally. There is also another pack you can get that will let you program the brake lights to strobe and stuff like that. I didn't get that one. I did get smoked out lens covers from HD in the shop and they were like 10 dollars a pair. NOW, I have since swapped out the red tail light assembly for the Custom Dynamics smoked out tail light/laydown version sold at the dealership and the dealership part number is 2010-0759. CD part number is GEN2-LDW-S TAILLIGHT LED DMK W/ILL. Thats a lot of numbers lol. Go to their website and have a look around. You'll find something you like. I went with just the red on the rear turn signals, but they also have red/amber so when you turn the blinker on, that one will turn amber too. Running light would be red or amber, not sure, blinker will be amber and of course stop would be bright red. But it's that little controller under the seat that takes a single element bulb and does all that. Pretty cool. Anyway. Hope this helps. Ride Safe!

I got it at the dealership and I have no idea what brand. This was in 2016. They had a bunch of them. Some with keys and some without. I honestly think it’s a Harley branded cap but I can’t swear by it.

I've made 3 trips of night driving and all I can say is it works fine. Does it work WAY better than the stock? Eh, maybe a little better, but I think the blacked out look fits my bike better than stock. So that's one of the main reasons I bought it. Moha Bens Oh you're welcome and I know what you mean. Plus I wasn't going to pay $550 for the Harley one either but this one comes with everything you need, even the wire harness. I believe there is even an extra harness for other year models that require more wiring. Mine didn't need that extra wire. It's plugin and go. Fits perfect and only takes about 5 minutes to install. It's a Harley Branded speedo. I got it from the dealership. I believe they have it made for them as I've seen others like it on other bikes. But it's pretty sweet. You can change the colors of everything on it. Thanks for watching!

They are Custom Dynamics. To make them more than just signal lights, I added their module to make them run/stop/ turn lights on the back.

Jamie Johnstone I got them from a dealership in Texas 3 years ago. I’m sorry but I do not have a link. You can go to Custom Dynamics web page and put in your bike and it will give you a list of lights for your bike and I think they have people you can call to make sure it will all work.

L Johnson Hey. I went to the dealership and they confirmed that putting on these pipes will not void any warranty. They have new bikes on the floor with V&H already installed and it shows it on the dealer invoice sheet when sold new. They said this rumor comes up every year. Service manager says when they call in a warranty, they don't even ask about the pipes, only the engine mods like a Stage II, III or IV and who did the work. V&H even makes an auto tuner especially designed for California emissions for the tree-huggers out there. If another dealership won't do the work, they are trying to lie to you to get you to pay, then they will file the warranty when you leave and get paid twice. If you have any problems with a warranty at another dealership, just give HD corporate office a call and they will handle it. Hope this helps. Ride safe!!!
