EXCELLENT video. The best I've seen on explaining a newly redesigned car. I'm a Honda owner, been buying them every three years or so since 1990. Currently own a CR V and an Accord and am looking to replace the 2010 CRV with the 2017 model. Nice camera work, you held it steady. Clear audio, no wind problems with your mike. And you explained in detail in an understandable way. Thank you for this example of how all KZfaq videos ought to be done!

I just took delivery of the 2018 version of this CRV which is identical. I decided to visit your channel, as you always present great detailed overviews. I learned about 3 features here, that I must've missed in the owners manual. It's a great vehicle, as I've had my eyes on these for the past few years. The only downside is that these CRV's in EX trim and above are in such high demand here in Texas right now, that discounts are unheard of. You CAN get a decent discount on an LX, but forget any breaks on the EX, EX-L or Touring. Thanks again for the great video. As always, I'll return to view other vehicles you present in awesome 4K.

Around the 11 min (or at 10:51 to 11:15 period to be specific) mark, the cargo floor isn't level with the folded rear seats. That's because the cargo floor is height adjustable and it is in the lowest position. There are two positions, low and high. The lowest position is for more vertical space and the highest position is for even level between the cargo floor and the folded rear seats.

I too was deciding between those exact 3 till yesterday lol, the mazda is beautiful but it doesn't have the guidance lines on the rear view camera which is a deal breaker for me, I personally just don't like the way the rav 4 looks, going for the crv, had the older 2011 model, its good on gas.

I'm going for EX-L, i want to finally have leather seats, but if you don't need leather seats or memory for 2 driver seat positions, I suggest the EX has its basically the same as the EX-L. I'm going for the Obsidian Blue. It looks really good. Be careful with dealerships, if you don't mind I'd like to give one last advice, if you are a costco member, you can buy a car thru costco. You go on the costco website for auto, tell the website the car, trim and color. They set you up with a specific agent at a specific dealer. You go in, meet the dealer, ask for costco price sheet and see if its a good number. Its been great according to my father. Just some free advice, some people dislike being given advice so If i've offended in anyway, I apologize. Best of luck.

ChasBabyGirl , I have only owned the car for a little more than a week, but I have had no experience with vibration at all. The engine is very smooth and quiet. I love this new cr-v it's like Acura but less expensive. You won't be sorry, take my word for it. Btw, checkout the sandstorm color, it's the one I got, it's beautiful. Let me know how it goes. 👍🏻

I've had my eyes on the gunmetal color but i wish the leather was black inside. I learned from experience with light color interior. It's hard to keep clean. Thanks☺

I've had my 2018 CR-V EXL for about a month. The vehicle struggles to warm up on cold days. On idle, the temperature gauge never gets above cold. The only time you get any warm air at all is at highway speeds. So if you are driving in town on a commute to work, plan for a very cold trip to work.

Hi great job. There are a few items that my 2016 EXL has that are not available on the 2017. They are. 1. Roof rails. 2. Internal storage for your rear security cover. Right mirror camera.( Tremendous feature). Just a great 2016, our third CRV.

Great video Mike. Is there a setting to have fresh air flow thru the vent w/o turning on the air while the car is driving? In my old Honda Accord I was able to adjust the temperature of the airflow w/o turning on the air. Thx.

sreihart I own a 2017 CRV EX-L with Navi and they both are similar. To fold down the back seats go to the trunk and if you look on the sides inside there will be levers and your can pull on the lever and it will fold down.

I have a question: Once the driver seat memory is set for each driver, does the seat automatically return to a neutral position so the first driver may enter without being "squished" while trying to fit into the smaller seat setting of the second driver?

We just bought a 2017 Honda CRV EX-L and have found the owner's manual to be terrible. The CD that came with the car has the same errors. Neither is correct. Mike, you have done a great job of helping us figure out how to operate this fine car. Thank you so much! We love the CRV, but they need to come out with a decent owner's manual or give a link to this site.

My wife has been driving the CRV for a little over a week and is averaging 32.4 mpg in mostly city driving.

Rode recently in a 2017 CR-V EX-L Touring with about 25,000 miles on it for a day as passenger. Very nice inside but for one surprising thing; road noise was still an issue, particularly tire noise. The car had dealer installed Hankook tires on it. I thought Honda did something to address road noise, particularly in the top of the line Touring model. Another thing that was odd was that the navigation system seemed a tad slower than what the Google Maps or WAZE on my cell phone was in calculating routes. I am not sure about the metering and updating time but it seemed to work OK. Everything else was very nice and comfortable in the car - seats, fit and finish, etc. I must admit I was disappointed in that one issue with Honda in this one model.

Thanks for the undercarriage shot at the opening. I see lots of panning under the engine as well as what appears to be padded panning under the driver's and front passenger's seating which I presume is for sound deadening.

Hi. Loved the review, especially the underneath view at the beginning which I had never seen in any other video. I saw that it had some 'cloth-like' material (for noise dampening?) that seems would be a good home for mold/mildew and anything else that the tires can pick up. Anyone know what this stuff is made of? Is it at least waterproof material? Thanks.

Mr. Bouche must be related to Steevee Wonder! Have your eighsight checked, interior is very nice and has all the amenities of a more expensive SUV. There are so many technological additions that some are not even covered in the owners manual. With the powerlift gate open, once is closed you can lock the whole vehicle by using the button that is on the far right where the open switch is! Great idea, this way once you unload the CRV, you do not have to run to the front doors to close the vehicle, nor take out the Fob and press the close button!

You may want to mention the rear cargo floor is adjustable so that the whole cargo area is flat ... as well as a method to open windows and roof remotely.

You did not mention the heated steering wheel. Very important in northern New Mexico and Colorado. Not so much in Myrtle Beach.

Question; on the rear view camera display, there's a icon at the bottom of the screen to the far right that looks like the cross traffic monitoring system. Fascinating! I am looking at a 2017 CRV EX-L for a purchase withing a few months. I see that many car manufacturers are offering back up sensors as a pricey option as most now have back up cameras. As one who does a lot of parallel parking, I wonder how this cross traffic system will work in a parallel parking scenario. Thanks again!
