508 2017 is already cheapest big silent car you can buy in EU now. Cheaper then Superb and 508 had full led lights.

Ja mam już trzeciego peugeota (405-406-407) - nie trzymałbym się marki, gdyby sprawiała kłopoty. Poza tym zadajcie sobie pytanie: kto od kogo kupuje silniki? Peugeot sprzedaje silniki do forda, volvo, mitsubishi, BMW (dwulitrowy diesel w BMW jest od peugeota ;-D ). Francuzi jakoś nie kupują silników od Niemcow!

@Stanisław Wiśniewski: Nie! Wspólnie PSA i BMW modernizowało silnik 1.6. Wprowadzono łańcuch rozrządu (według pomysłu BMW), do którego źle zaprojektowano napinacze. Elementy plastikowe (sic!) w napinaczach padają jak muchy. Min. ta konstrukcja napinaczy była powodem rozwodu BMW i PSA: Peugeot wrócił do konstrukcji z paskiem zębatym, BMW dalej robi ten silnik z łańcuchem i pakuje go do swoich aut, np. do Mini. Silnik z takiego Mini widziałem u mojego mechanika, widziałem też połamane elementy napinacza.

@Free Style: to nazwa spólki powołanej do wspólnego prowadzenia projektów 'silnikowych'. Jeśli jednak zdejmiesz osłony silnika zainstalowanego pod maską Peugeota/Citroena i tego w BMW, to zobaczysz, że to ten sam silnik ;-)

Hi Oliver, yes I have exactly the same, the car still have enough power to go faster, but it has speed limiter... I work in Germany (Nuernberg) and it is so flustrating, when I want to go faster, but as you wrote even with downhill the speed is 213 kmh and nothing more.

bachcomp1 nie sugeruj się dźwiękiem, bo niestety nagrany jest z kamerki sportowej Redleaf sj5000+ która ma tragiczny i fatalny mikrofon a nie da się pod nią podłączyć zewnętrznego lepszego. Jakość dźwięku, odwzorowanie, przekłamanie jest niestety straszne. Wg mnie w 508 jest za głośno. Jadąc 160 kmh na tempomacie po Niemczech (ja tak najczesciej latam) czuć zmęczenie że względu na szum i buczenie silnika. Do 130 kmh jest ok.

bachcomp1 w tej klasie passat czy superb lepiej wypadają, najgożej chyba jednak mazda 6 (diesel, benzyna nie jechalem). Kiedyś miałem golfa 6 (co prawda tylko 1.6 tdi) ale także w nim było dość cicho, wg mnie ciszej niż w 508.

Le plaisir de conduire ne devienne pas de la vitesse mais de l'acceleration! Essaye-toi d'accelerer VW de 100 km/h jusqu'au 130 km/h et puis faite-toi la meme avec P508 ;-D La difference est incomparable!

Pedro Reis It wasn't even stressful or something like this. It was even legal. The video was made in germany on highway with no Speed limit. At this highway my top speed was 287 kmh gps speed with E55amg, so 213 cluster speed of peugeot wasn't that dangerous :-)

It wasn't so bad, I was driving a bit faster and it was normal overtake. Logan for normal driving is ok :-) I make so many km so I wanted something comfortable for tall person (I'm 198 cm tall). Today I drive Peugeot 508 (so cheap to drive) and VW Phaeton (more expensive to use but so interesting and comfortable).

Osobiście A6 C7 raczej.🙂

Auto nie jest aż tak złe, ale jakość jest strasznie kiepska.

Fasha Gaming engine is good. Overall technicaly 508 is quite solid. The worst are small quality issues, some plastic elements makes rattle sounds etc.

Tudor Adrian It was a little bit uphill. Normaly 213 is the limiter, you can go downhill with wind and no chance for more :P on my other movie you can see 213 kmh on straight road

Petrolhead No1 i predict 210 on gps... And i think 150 blue hdi has more torque than my "old" 164hp. But if you live outside of germany it is not inportant, i ve only tried over 210 for 2 times, i live in slovenia if they catch you driving over 200 you will end up in the newspaper... so speed limit would not be a great minus for me.

Sašo Praznik I live in Poland but work in Germany, so i drive so often on "autobahn". For me the perfect ride of this car is chillout 130 kmh on cruise control. Fuel consumption is low and on this speed is quite quiet.

I cruise on about 150. I think 130 is a bit slow for him :)

VoX 1.4 tsi ladnie popierdalaja jak na swoje moce. Peugeot tak sobie. Czuje, ze z 1.4 tsi nie mialby peugeot szans, ogranicznik i diesel...

Jest jeden problem: prędkościomierze grupy VAG mają potworny błąd: jak ustawię w passku 149 km/h, to jadę 140 wg GPS. Ostrzeżenie na A4 nie zapalają się więc bardziej wierzę w 140, niż w 149 ;-D Peugeoty mają baardzo dokładne prędkościomierze (błąd rzędu 1 - 2 km/h w całym zakresie). Poza tym warto byłoby pokazać prędkość wg GPS - byłoby obiektywnie, a ty też powinieneś swoją tą metodą sprawdzić ;-D

ale mordeczko w mojej octavi nie ma cyfrowego licznika ;)

TSI może fajnie popie.., ale to jest podobna charakterystyka, jak PureTech w peugeotach. Te ostatnie znam min. z peugeota mojej żony ;-) TSI z aut służbowych.

@VoX: ale nawigacja pokazuje prędkość w każdym pojeździe, nawet na rowerze ;-) Wsadź nawigację i przetestuj swój prędkościomierz, tak po prostu. Sądzę, że się zdziwisz. Wiem to stąd, że jeżdżę służbowymi passkami, oktawiami i widzę, jak kiepskie mają prędkościomierze.

It's I mean 508 have speed limiter, I work in Germany so I have tested top speed of 508 many times. I dont know how fast is 207 but 508 is too slow for me.

Ramzan Borzaev this peugeot have a speed limiter. I had Renault Talisman 1.6 dci biturbo 160 hp and this car was even slower, factory data said ~215 kmh but at real it was 209 kmh on speedometer.

Le 2.0l dCi est largement plus volontaire et nerveux et si tu vas par la Renault vend des dCi a un paquet de marques bien plus que psa . Renault Dacia lada Nissan Mitsubishi Mercedes Samsung motor Opel sur master et traffic et j en passe

Sadly Peugeot has a speed limiter. But in acceleration 0-100 kmh is a bit faster than passat :P

I drive 140hp Passat as a duty car and Peugeot as a private one. I can compare these cars: in 0-100 km/h competition the VW is (probably) faster but in 80-120 km/h competition (which is more important in security aspect) the VW is weak as a fly ;-)

X3ABnew in my opinion for a daily use both engines 2.0 TDI and 2.0 HDI are ok. Now I use Peugeot and VW too, 508 and Phaeton 3.0 TDI.

Maybe only in top speed. For the rest not really. But as almost all VW, your Passat 140 has not really 140 HP, but more like 150-160 hp. Since the 90's and first TDI engines VW always put more HP than what was really announced. It's a bit cheating against concurrence, and eventually taxes in some countries concerned. With real power output, they are just average compared to same power engine.

2.0 Bluehdi 150 hp also have ~160hp on dyno in stock.
