The best gt350. Review..

I loved your review and your daily driver comments. I think I’m gonna go ahead and get one. It’s the same year and same color scheme. I just thought that it would be a rough riding- weekend only car. So tempted to buy used...prices have really come down. Its on of the best if not the best sounding vehicle, steering input is top notch....the feels man...true drivers car.

I think your observations about the car as a daily driver are spot on. I daily drive mine in too. I think car is a great daily -practical and easy to live with. Rides better than my son's Fiesta ST.

I wanted to extend my Thanks for your videos. I watched several of these before purchasing my 2017 GT350 and yours was the closest to the conditions I meet daily here in New Mexico. We have some pretty bad roads, pot holes, expansion joints and bad repairs.The Shelby does feel every bump, but the seats are more forgiving than my 2011 GT. The clutch does not wear on your leg like other cars, and I'm saying this after damaging my left hamstring and getting caught in miles of rush out traffic a week later.

It's suprising not hear the rev sound in the video. Like you said, it really got 2 personalities. Beast mode and Calm mode.

After about an hour and a half or two hours unless you have a very narrow frame those were Recaro's dig in to your hips. And less I'm doing a track day I would prefer to have the heated and cooled seats for daily driving. What's nice is if you can figure out the electrical connections swapping them is literally a matter of minutes. If you're going to drive the car every day you've got to figure out something for winter driving. If you have a 305 spec tire in any configuration your going to be stuck along with the Lowground Clarence chin spoiler will of course turn into a plow. Remember Michelin pilot super sports are only good down to 40° after that you're on your own. I found that out the Fun way...

you mentioned m3 or m4 is "just" a inline six, but at the end of the day it will still absolutely smoke the gt350, weather its 0-60 or on the track.

I completely agree with you about the clutch. I feel people are complaining about this clutch because they heard someone else say it and they're just being sheep. Especially after the clutch breaks in, it feels great. If you have issues with this clutch then you'll also have issues with any real sports car. My gt350 feels pretty close to my Porsche in clutch feel. Engagement point is slightly different but the feel and control is pretty close. Great vid man, looking forward to more.

You mentioned you changed transmission oil on you s550 and noticed improvement in shifting, what oil did you use? Currently driving 17 pp with occasional track and autocross. Great review for us dreamers!

I just bought a 2017 gt350, i had a 2015 gt premium, well I LOVE my gt350, it is so smooth compared to tbe gt, my gt was automatic, getting used to a standard again is funny, to say the least, I have almost killed it twice, but it will get better with time. I bought it as a daily driver, then changed my mind. The reason, the car is just too beautiful, I live in deep south Louisiana, the roads are bad, plus the sugar cane trucks, etc. So I bought a used toyota to drive for work, I have to travel some pretty nasty roads, my 2015 was full of rock pits. Plus hubby just got a brand new jeep, we just do not want to put a million miles on 2 brand new vehicles. Love your videos, very informative.

great review. I've been debating one of these. I may pull the trigger if I could find one with no dealer markup where I live. I have a GT as my daily driver atm and put a lot of money into mods though. I tried the clutch spring mod but ending up putting the stock spring back on recently cause the clutch was too heavy after the mod lol. I added the steeda shifter bracket/bushing setup and it somehow made the clutch feel better. But the GT350 in my opinion doesn't need any mods. Its a good platform, plenty of trunk space, and more practical than a vette. But geese even my GT gets 15 mpg city on a bad day. That gas mileage you're getting is pretty bad lol.

Im a saleen owner, very first car was my 96 Saleen S281 speedster. Sweet car, the GT350 of is day, no seriously. Not as much grunt as its bigger more powerful brother the S351 but every bit as track capable. And it was the Porsche killer of its day. For non believers ill get to that at the end of my post. As for Driving the GT350 everyday, YOU CERTAINLY CAN. why not, its a Mustang, in fact you can drive it year round with no issues. Granted like any other car it will needs basic maintenance service from time to time. It will, not becuase its bad but because any highly tuned car, traversing on normal roads will succome to elements found on those normal roads. Potholes, nails, the works. All you really need to do is keep your car well waxed. Im not talking crazy detailer stuff no. but i am talking hand washing your car and hand waxing. Only takes a few minutes at home or at your local self wash. Heres the deal, DONT goto any car-wash, ANY!, you have no idea what type of products their using. And use of a high pressure hose must be done by hand, otherwise you may end up with chiped paint, scratches etc. NEVER EVERY EVERY use those brush mops they have as the self wash, Those things sit on the ground with all the trash glass rocks junk, and here you come running it across your new paint surface. crazy!!!! just getyourself a few rags and towels from walmart and wash your car the same way you wash youself. simple Personally im a big fan of Maquires products especially their carnuba wax works fantastic on fords paint (Basf). wash you car once a month to build layers of wax, and trust me you wont need those clearcoat bra's. everything that will hit your ride will slide rite off. As for the old s351 being a porsche killer, well like the GT350 today it was. in fact back in the late 80s to late 90's Saleen a and their racing mustang dominated ALMS, and ran in Lemans series. several years of back to back championships against the worlds best. done in mustangs. but many today are to young to know this. Saleen wasnt about drag racing, as a road racing team they were all about the track and their consumer mustangs had racing dna thru and thru. track day mustangs, but back then people didnt get it. Ford didnt get it , not until the boss 302. it took ford over 16 years to match the performance of those 90's saleens. Awesome video! I'm looking at possibly getting the exact same car with the same features! I just have a question, in your opinion would this be a bad car to learn manual in? I haven't had the opportunity to learn yet but I really want to (need to), and if I get this car well... I would obviously need to lol. What are your thoughts about learning in this car?

OMG, the fuel economy would ruin me for a daily :-( Living in EU (with all the benefits of high fuel prices) and currently daily driving S550. I thought a lot about upgrading to GT350, but this is the only no-no. Sad.

I have a 2016 track pack daily driver, love it to hell, but sometimes, just sometimes, I miss having the convenience of the tech pack, mainly the screen and audio system..... I really hate the idiotic way Ford did the whole tech / track pack stuff, I mean come on, what car on this planet at that price tag doesn't come with those things, and don't tell me driver's car, it should be if you want the car without those things you specifically ask for that, otherwise it should come with them by default! It just pisses me off now and then, or is it jealousy? but then I give it some stick and forget about those weird decisions done by Ford :)
