I’m still not used to the level of attention I get in my GT350 (Kona blue w/white stripes). At least once a week while waiting at traffic lights other drivers give me a thumbs up or ask to hear the engine rev. People ask me about it when I’m parked. Gas station attendants tell me they love it. Even the homeless people working stop and go traffic start talking to me about cars. It’s weird. I do enjoy giving people rides. Launching and hitting 8k in first and second just makes people giggle! I still giggle after a good run on twisty country roads. I’ve found that on the right roads, you can have a total blast and not even break the speed limit. Good curves deep into second gear is amazing.

even in the NYC area the attention is insane you know why? I mentioned this is other videos is because this car has history and is attainable, when someone even where I live drive a $500k Exotic nobody looks because nobody can relate to ever owning the car yet real hard working guys like us see the GT350 and know it is a car within reach. I have this old guy in town a Vietnam Vet who does traffic duty and we talk all the time he use to race a GT350 back in the 60s and his stories are so cool to hear. Every time I fill up the car starts a conversation and puts on a smile for an elderly person to a young child . Not many other cars I can think of can give off such a positive vibe to society like a Shelby. Keep enjoying your car as much as you can. AF

Owning and driving a GT350 or GT350R goes way beyond just the metrics and HP and 0-60 times. Plenty cars have the specs, this car has something the others lack: a "visceral" experience. You cannot quantify or calculate rationally the experience of driving this "sports" car. From that cold start to taking turns at high RPMs, listening to that exhaust "blip blip blip", my goodness. And I thought I smiled a lot on my wedding day! Good vid, AF. Thanks.

Agreed. People get to hung up on numbers. This car is 0.2 seconds faster or slower than that one. To me it’s all about the feel. I bought the GT350 for exactly that reason. I liked the look but thought it was a straight line car. Sat in it, loved the feel. Read about it, started getting hooked. Drove it.... then passed my wallet to the dealer. Also, after driving this car I will never buy a car with more power unless I’m going to track it. I think the new GT500 isn’t going to be as special. I’m happy they are dropping the FPC because my car will hold value better (I didn’t know that until this video). And Automatic!?! Forget that, although inconsistently...., I wish we had auto-rev matching.
@ryang9113

Agree! This car is special. I came directly from an F-Type SVR to the GT-350 and although the Jag was a blast, had more HP, and was faster--the GT-350 is a more enjoyable driving experience. It feels special, it feels so motorsport! It inspires true confidence at all times. And of course the sound is amazing.

Production numbers are high, so don't expect crazy #'s from it any time soon. It'll be just like every other Ford special vehicle, and it will spend 10-15 years declining in value, and then maybe have small bump in value for very low mileage museum examples, followed by increase in value that trends general economic growth.

Hey man.. Love the vids. You make a few very solid points when it comes to the new gt500. I am surprised, however, that your dealer is getting you in at a 3-5k markup only. I called my dealer and they are saying it's going to be a 20k markup 😑. I wouldn't get rid of the gt350 personally. I'm keeping mine forever and I'm gonna pass it down to my kids when I have them. There's just something so special about this car. The gt500 is competing with all the other supercharged muscle cars out there. What's the GT350 competing against? Nothing it's in a class of its own. That's why it's going to be a collector car one day. The gt500, in a few years mark my words you'll be able to get them for 50k. Depreciation will hit them like a ton of bricks.

First, fantastic channel. Great tips! Second, not sure I agree on the value appreciating over the next 15 years. The reason 65 & 66 GT350s appreciate is because there is history to these cars, and where they were on the forefront of the muscle car era. Moreover, very few were built; where Ford has flooded the market with the current gen. Only 1350 Boss Nines were built over two years--which for me, is the most unique and interesting motor Ford has developed. These cars currently command $260k plus in pristine and restored condition. So don't see how a mass market Mustang will command that kind of price. Now, less anyone think I am ragging on the new GT350s--I love the car. There is probably no better car for the money, and then some. In fact, in addition to getting a 2020 Raptor, my dealer is woking to get me the new Heritage Edition GT350. Will post when I take delivery!

Gt350 will never be 250k in 10 years. They said the same thing about the 13 cobra and the 14 zr1.. Maybe in 30 years if it's not driven it'll be worth 150 to 200k but not 10 years.

Since you like Ferrari also I went to the dealership to buy a 458 they didn’t want to sell me one because they knew they would never get it back.

yeah space is tough and so hard to sit on a car for 10+ years waiting for the upside that's why a classic car is easier to get in, have fun and turn it over quicker. problem is classic cars do not drive well and are risky on our horrible roads in NY but are solid investment if you know what your buying, like all C2 Vettes are still such strong investments

If you plan to keep it, do the Speedkore upgrade. “IF” you don’t and decide to sell it I’m MOST DEFINITELY interested. I am a USAF retiree living in Italy. The GT350 I have (preowned) is already difficult to get, forget about the GT350R. If you decide to sell yours I would definitely like to know because I’d sell my 2017 to buy it.

Your comments in regards to resale value is reminiscent of what happened with manual transmission exotics. I had a ferrari with a manual transmission years ago that now sell for 2 times the value of the f1 transmissions. Wished I had kept it..... With the GT500 being an f1 it does make me wonder if this will be the last of a manual transmission normally aspirated mustang.

2500 psi kind of high for pressure washing a car. You can definitely damage paint and plastic at 2500 psi. Most recommendations say keep it around 1500-1900 psi, which is the range of a lot of the commercial electric pressure washers on the market.

I meant to ask after watching your review as to why you put the original floor mats back in the car? Your video about the 3D mats was so good and I subsequently purchased them, and they are as described, far superior to the Weathertech. Just curious why they are not in the car?

Competition Orange and WHITE (slow side smile nod) 1/2 way through had to stop and catch my breath... your hitting them ALL: the MPG, the oil (will try AMSOIL) and just now, the 2-piece lug-nuts. I "spun" one a few days ago changing out the snow tires on mine. :o There are a set of (2) Pilot Sport 4-S waiting to be installed on the front. I'm trying to catch the rear 305? of choice... What did the WHIPPLE do to the "blip-ability" of the flat-plane ??? My CTS-V is sitting at 580/580 , the turbo, Auto C7 at 680/720 and "TANG" my GT350 at 500/400 (ALL WHP , not crank) The CTS-V's blip-ability is a -0- and the N/A GT350's is an 8 ? (never driven a Ferrari myself) what is a belt driven, positive displacement, supercharged GT350's ? Life goes Fast Drive FASTER!!

Sup fanatic! I was debating for the past couple months on getting a scat pack or the gt350 but if I get the gt350 it would prolly be in 5 years because I don’t really want to finance and I want to buy it full price. Would their be any differences for those model year gt350s in the future and would they still have good resale value? Would it even be worth buying a 2025 gt350?

What can you say about the long-term value prospects of the GT350 vs GT350R? Would the 2019s be that much more desirable long term? THANKS for the great reviews. I'm a Corvette guy, but the GT350 piqued my interest for Ford.

If you are driving this car year round in the salt and snow, this car will not be "pristine". There will be corrosion in place that your washing mitt can't reach. I don't think this is a $150,000 car (especially with the GT 500 coming out). This is no Ford GT. Mustangs are way too common (and this one looks like a regular Mustang to people who don't really know what it is). I also wonder about the future of high octane gas availability 30 years from now. I'm probably going to pick one up, but I'm trying to manage my expectations as far as future value goes. Right now there are left over BRAND NEW 2018's selling for around $50K.

Great video!! Have a serious question though-I own a 2018 Gt350 and a 2019 Bullitt. I was considering modding them but after watching the video I'm in need of some advice on keeping them stock for potential resale down the road?? They are garaged in a private climate controlled storage facility and only have 500 miles on them. Obviously they are very well kept and will never be tracked.

How many miles are on your gt350? Also, are you still rocking the factory clutch assist spring? I keep hearing good things about the steeda assist spring, thinking about picking one up. I'm not a big fan of the factory clutch pedal feel. Thought I would get used to it, but i haven't

depends on engine and condition etc there will always be a market for 65-66 Mustang convertibles in the 20-45k range depending on condition and originality. Cars with all original floors, frame and body panels will get a premium over cars restored with imported metal.
