In today's video, we'll take a detailed look at the 2017 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium. I really like the quality of this SUV, especially the luxury aspects of it. If you are interested in a super reliable, ultra-capable off-road SUV that will haul your family and all their gear PLUS groceries then this is probably the SUV for you!
I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Vann York Toyota in High Point, North Carolina for the opportunity to film this amazing Toyota 4Runner. You can check out Vann York and their massive inventory of new and pre-owned vehicles at

if ever somebody jack your vehicle, even if you don't put your address at the home button of your navigation is not going to protect you from finding out your real address since they can always just go to your glove box and look at your car registration or insurance card. but, that does not stop me from subscribing to your channel because yours is one of more detailed show I've seen around. Keep up the good work.

you are by far the most informed car salesman I've ever seen....kudos to you for knowing your product. I've never been to a car dealership where the sales personnel knew more about the vehicle I'm purchasing than I do. Awesome video!

I owned a 2016 Toyota Tacoma for 13 months... (Dec5th 2015-jan13th 2016)got sick of the rattles from the interior! mostly it was from the dash speaker covers, and the windows, when rolled down between 1 and 3 inches, would rattle like crazy!!! can't do noises like that, drives me bananas!! went looked at the (Japanese built...)"Trail" at the time, 4Runner! So happy though it was a hard lesson learned$$,Lol from not passing on the Tacoma and just buying the 4Runner a year ago....hindsight is always 20/20😁

I just did 3500 miles of hard driving across eastern Canada. 1500 miles of dirt roads in Labrador and boy was I glad it was built in one of the best car factory in the world. Not one rattle.

Pity. You bought, and stupidly dumped, a truck that easily can surpass 300k miles. It’s the most reliable vehicle made. It is the vehicle with the most still on the road with 300k or higher. There’s nothing better off road except for a land cruiser.

Can someone pls help me? I'm looking to buy a 4Runner in a few months what's the difference of TRD Pro vs TRD Off Road Premium? Which is better?
@josephgomes9777
@josephgomes9777 7 жыл бұрын
The TRD Pro is for when you essentially need to off road pretty much all the time. It has Bilstein shocks for better travel, and better, more rugged tires. The TRD Off Road Premium is for doing some off roading on the weekends. Both are excellent at what they do. What trim you gets depends on how often you use their off road capability, for how long, and for how hard the terrain is gonna be. The Pro is if you live in the bush, with no paved roads whatsoever. The Off Road Premium is more forgiving on the street, and the tires are quieter. Like I said, it depends on what you're gonna use it for. Hope this helps :)
@rundownaxe
@rundownaxe 7 жыл бұрын
Don't go for a TRD pro has some cosmetic enhencements, low end billstein shocks and not so good tires. And you lose one of the best feature on the 4runner. the KDSS. For the price it's not worth it unless you need to lift higher than 3 inches and need the rear locker. The offroad premium comes with the KDSS that limits the lift to 3 inches but it has the locker and you can buy better tires and shocks than the Pro for less money. The SR5 is the best choice to some. Air lockers, tires and and big lift. If you can get the parts cheap, it can be the best of the 3 models but you lose the KDSS.

Where it says "home" on the navigation screen. I think it's a bad idea, when someone puts in his/her address. Too many bad people around.

4Runner Is definitely underpowered it's heavy it's slow I just hope Toyota when they redesign the 4Runner will give the customers more choices of engine like the Jeep Grand Cherokee from V6 to V8 to the badass SRT Toyota needs to change their old thinking and old attitude and be more competitive
@TheBeertruck85

Bobby Zee different strokes for different folks. almost 300hp is plenty for me. I have the 4.0l v6 in my 2007 tundra that weighs 800lbs more and has 40hp less and that's plenty. this feels like a v8 in comparison.
@rundownaxe
@rundownaxe 7 жыл бұрын
The throttle curve sucks. And the shift points are programmed for economy. But put your foot down hard and it goes. Not a rocket ship, but it has decent power when it gets up to 4k+. It definatly needs a v8 though.
