I owned an '04 Beetle convertible and in 6 years it never displayed wind noise or cowl shake.

That's good to know, Steve W. Remember, as Chris mentioned, we believe the car we tested was a pre-production model. It's not uncommon to find a couple of questionable aspects in models such as those. But we still felt it necessary to mention it in case this was a full production 2017 model. Thanks for watching!

It's basically an appearance package. I don't quite get it either, but it still seems like a fun and reasonably practical small convertible.
