A friend and me installed this MBRP Street catback and I love it. I prefer H pipe over X pipe. Before my car had Borla S Type than sound good but the X pipe to raspy for my test. Now I a, very happy. MBRP gave to my Mustang GT the muscle sound than was looking for.

I just grabbed a set of these for my 18 GT Fastback with A10 trans and stock 3.5 gears. It sounds good but just a little subdued. Not overwhelming by any means. Not "wake the neighbors" loud at all. And no cabin drone at any speed. I drove it to work and speeds varied from 50s to 90s and it sounds good with no drone. I do wish it was just a tad louder tho. But I'm not planning to swap it out. The install was super easy and very straightforward. I did it by myself on ramps with hand tools and it only took about 2 hours. I'm still waiting for it to break in. You cannot beat this exhaust as far as price, performance, sound, quality, and fitment.

@@drunkpolack7612 I now have TSP catted LTs and it is really LOUD. I can only imagine how loud it would be without cats. But it still sounds amazing and the LTs woke it up.

Sounds really great Just like the race system I love the street system as well. MBRP Exhaust Sytems sound great on the 5.0 coyote. One of my favorite systems

I am curious to know how is it that the race ct back doesn't have drone which is the loudest system they offer and the street has more drone?

We've had this on for 2 months and love it. The only thing I've noticed is that the pipes have rotated slightly which makes the tips not even. The inside tips are slowly getting alittle higher as the mufflers slowly rotate. Everything is completely clamped down, my brother who works on lots of exhaust systems did it for me at his dealership. However, he also suggested that I may want to have it welded together to prevent it from moving. Any thoughts/fixes for this besides welding? Have you seen this on other systems? Thanx and keep up the good work!

If the clamps are not properly torqued the pipes can rotate after a few heat cycles. Go back and make sure the clamps are torqued to 40 lbft.

I see the h pipe has reducers to fit the stock cat pipes. What if you have 3in headers?

I had this on my 2017 GT. Would you say the volume level and sound is pretty much the same? How would the volume level compare to the MBRP axle back system with the stock resonator?

@@johnbauman9529 the 2015-17 MBRP exhausts only come with the dual tips. I've read that their 2018 axle back muffler delete quad exhaust will also work on the 2015-2017, you just need to cut the rear valance so it fits.

@@rougecards Dual tips = 2 total Quad tips = 4 total 18+ GT's come with quad tips 15-17 GT's come with dual tips

They need to offer an X pipe option for the mbrp catbacks... thats why i went with the Corsa on my 17. And wouldn’t change it for anything. But the mbrp’s sound good for the $$

Part of the reason i like mbrp is because of the h...coyotes are raspy enough as is let alone with a catless x its just not for me

Does a cold air intake help reduce the drone affect? The reason I ask is when I installed the race series on my 2012 gt. Conv. , the drone sound seemed to reduce after I installed and tuned with a cold air intake. Just wondering if anyone else or you have noticed. Thanks love your channel. I now have a 2019 gt conv. and plan on installing the mbrp street .

Aftermarket intakes remove the sound tube, which will definitely reduce drone in the cabin.

$950!!? I paid $575 for the same system on my 17 GT. C'mon MBRP, that's $375 more for basically the same kit with 2 extra tips. 🤔

@@raslminia I think hes referring to the "installer series" its the same thing but with aluminized steel instead of the 304 stainless steel. I got the aluminized version and spray painted the whole thing with high temp silver rustoleum, pretty happy with it. Also, I got mine on ebay for $581 here : www.ebay.com/itm/254661060610

Does pairing this catback with headers open it up much more as far as sound? ... I currently have this system and it sounds amazing... Just want louder, but not sure if I want to do headers and see how it goes, or go on ahead and just upgrade to a louder cat back option... Thanks.

No bro a cat back is actually less complicated then the axle back. Mostly all cat back exhausts are direct bolt on and the stock exhaust will come out all in 1 piece which makes it easier. Buy a cat back bro your fine any local muffler shop can install it for you for 100-150 bucks 👍

Would this also fit on the 2019 GT? The reason I'm asking is I've ordered a 2018 but they found out they're not making anymore 2018s, so it'll be a 2019

Yes from what Ford has told us the only difference will be the colors offered for 2019.

Giovany Ramirez I live in Cali too. I got a ticket for having a h pipe with stock muffs and cats. I still ordered this exhaust. Probably better in Cali even tho the corsa sounds so good

Giovany Ramirez I went with the street cat back as it not as loud as a corsa because California laws. If you felt like you always wanted one of these two just go with ur heart both will make you love ur car more.

Terran the Black In a way yes but not really when you straight pipe u only adding two separate pipes the mbrp comes with a H pipe which gives you a unique deep sounding tone

@@crispycrockpot I have the race system and I can honestly say it’s probably the best sounding system their is for the mustang it gives you that deep muscle car sound but it’s also loud! Just as loud as the borla Atak and corsa extreme and for half the price! I’ll be honest borla and corsa are such great quality exhausts that they could produce systems that are loud with no interior drone whereas the mbrp it does have some drone which can be a little annoying sometimes but If you don’t mind a little drone than definitely go for it! I’ve had it for 2 years already and the drone is pretty much unnoticeable already probably because I’ve gotten used to it 👍
