I’m sure Toyota engineers had a reason to use a 12mm bolt to hold the battery down, but 10mm battery terminals. 😂

I am very grateful and look forward to servicing this type of job for my new Camry... it would be the same process for the 2022 Hybrid SE? I'm also curious about the type of oil. Wasn't given a manual. It's a second-hand car. Thanks for your invaluable input. Truly appreciate it :-). I'm sure buying all the necessary tools and oil and just DIYing it would help me save some moola in the long run! Lifelong learning for the win!!!

My Negative terminal is stuck even after loosening the bolt all the way. I can move the terminal left and right but it won’t pull up

Same thing happened to me too gotta remove the small bolt completely and try wiggling it and pull it at the same time add a bit force when needed but be cautious of the wires

@@icu6920same thing happened to me just now. I used a flat head screw driver to expand open the clamps and then when I put it back on I used some pliers to tighten the clamps again. Sucker isn’t going anywhere. The erosion cause it to get stuck I guess.

you can get the exact oem battery from Toyota or you can just go to an auto parts store and get a different brand that fits your rav4
