Installed a whipple 2.3 kit with everything on a 5.3 in a 2012 Tahoe. 50# Injectors, iridium spark plugs, kn filter, and intercooler come in the kit. It ran very well, but it needed a little tuning between 1800 and 2600 rpm at 1/3 throttle for the knocking. Took 10 months to get into our local tuner and they complained about me showing up like they were too busy. They had my truck for ten days, did almost 3 hours of work on it after letting it sit for nine days and returned it with a missing on one cylinder (coil went bad and I immediately replaced it), timing severely retarded, and transmission jerking as if it had dog clutches. Only got 410hp they claimed (and probably so since it was a lot slower), but they couldn't even give me a record. Fortunately, I saved the original tune. Some of these tuners are dangerously incompetent.

Pmoore4321, I added a SLP TVS1900 on my 2015 5.3 Silverado. On the SLP blower, there is an extra 1/2" port that isn't used on our trucks. It's for earlier trucks that goes to the brake booster, since the supercharger housing is the same, only the lower intake is different. I added a vacuum line from the port to the brake booster. I Tee's a vacuum canister that I got from Jegs, and ran an inline check valve right at the supercharger port. Works perfect, no difference from stock. I removed the vacuum pump and installed plugs into the oil ports. I highly recommend it...

If it’s a stock block the numbers are amazing! I picked up 515 whp (on dynojet) with only meth and the same blower! Running stock injectors, stock pump and ITV24 denso plugs with 100% pump gas

Hey man, I forgot to ask you about those intake spacers. Is it necessary to get them milled down to 1/4”, or can I leave them at 1/2” and still go with the longer belt that whipple sells?

I didn't use the spacers with the Whipple. I can't remember the height difference between the L83 HPFP and the LT4 pump. It doesn't take much to the clear it, I think .25" would work. Remember, you still have to connect the Whipple bracket to the intake manifold with that single bolt in the front. I would probably weld a tab to the top of that bracket and drill another hole a 1/4" higher. Getting the Whipple to fit with 1/2" thick plates may not work. I know you can't just slide the Whipple on from the top like normal. It'll hit the top of the firewall. You might be able to drop the Whipple on the manifold and then slide the plates in between the manifold and the head. You're going to have to notch that firewall insulation just above the supercharger. It's easy to do, and you can patch the hole with foil tape. I did that to mine just so I would have more room.

1. So no straight E85 without a fuel lobe? 2. Also any mods to exhaust? 3. What size pulley? I'm stock with Whipple right now and trying to decide what's next. My RCSB 4wd with bed cover and liner @ 5050 race weight ran 8.256@82.87 with Whipple tune. Thanks for raising the bar!

I took the green belt off. It was slipping like crazy. Not sure if it being slightly longer was the problem or maybe I didn't tension it properly. I think it was slipping on the dyno. It finally slipped so much it turned the green part brown. I'm back to the Gates Micro-V.

You had me stumped for a minute. I had to draw it out to see how that wouldn't work. Just adding a lash cap won't increase the stroke, it would only move the pump piston higher in relation to the pump housing. It's hard to explain. If you draw it out, you'll see why it won't work.

Custom cam I designed. It's basically an LS9 cam on a 118 LSA. Bigger fuel lobe also. That's the stock cam in this video. There are updated videos on my channel.

I'm guessing I have around $9500 in it for 630 wheel at 10 psi. If I was doing it again, I would pick up a cheap LT4 blower and go that route.

Moses Rodriguez meth requires more responsibility, monitoring the amount you have, properly mixing it. It’s honestly best just to go E85.
