I used the same stuff and did all the same areas on my S3. Only difference is I removed all of the interior trim over the back deck. I removed the speakers and sub and applied the noico on top. After replacing the speakers I also added a couple layers of sound deadening fabric similar to factory stuff.

Nice job as always. I think the Nicoing of the deck may give you the biggest sound improvements! Getting rid of all that nasty body panel resonances. Any car audio shop will say that sound proofing is number 1 on the list of things to do. Curious to know if you can hear the difference! I have to agree with brosher Karsetn, those black Sparco look the business!!

yes, the deck, and the trunk lid too. the trunk lid itself had the most rattles.

the sparkys look fine for now, but im not even using the spacers. they work great tho, per my world record 0-60mph 3.77s run 2 nights ago.

Thanks for the video! Any issue with off-gassing? Some reviewers have said the Noico smell can be pretty noticeable.

i noticed nothing.. but while we're on topic.. i would put less on the trunk lid next time. its making the trunk lid much heavier, and the opening springs don't work as well.

spent all morning dealing with that. finally found a tire shop that will dismount my tires. then ill sell tires local and 2 wheels on ebay for $400 shipped each. and will end up getting more than i paid in the end.

Funny I actually like the Sparcos with the spacers. How much weight does sound deadening add?

ya the sparcos look ok right now. also put on all 4 spacers again. one box is about 30 lbs, and i used less than half a box.

also lost 5 lbs a wheel going to the sparcos in addition to my lightweight front rotors.

Funny yet again.. I just took off the spacers.. they def make the steering feel heavier in front w 10mm spacers. Doesn’t feel natural so I took the spacers out. I’ll keep saving for dream wheels.

@@LastHumansGarage really? Sure it's not placebo? I feel no dicernable difference. If you get new wheels with a lower offset it's the same thing.

@@karstgeo7290 i think so.. im very used to comfort mode and how the steering feels.. it was heavier soon as i drove. could be in my head. might not be.

Hi! Did you happen to measure the difference in dB before and after or is it easily noticeable even just by listening? I also have an S3 sedan and the noise from the road bugs me on longer trips… really looking forward to do this myself too! You got some really good content in your channel! 👌

no measuring. but each section makes a small difference. the trunk kinda does the most.

I’m looking into deadening my trunk in order to to try to get rid of some of the exhaust sound on the Highway. Did you notice little less exhaust sound?

sup Vic-meister, you can do sound deadending any time.. but the material will indeed be harder to apply. you'll need a heat gun for sure, in the wintertime.
