Killer price at 19000.00 down here in Australia. Bought one, where do i start? All i can say is, take a demo ride. Totally awesome bike. Excellent build quality ,solid strong industrial like construction. Love the sound of the boxer engine, good pick up when you need it. Added a 20mm wunderlich handle bar riser to sit more up right on a motard position & a bmw black canvas panier on the right side, that can be removed & used as a shoulder carry bag.

Mate good anti reveiw, brutal honesty is hard to swallow for some people . ps I dont love my r850r either but it does everything right.

At least you ride the damn thing. So many reviewers barely rev it. I like basic bikes. I like this. But I'll keep my basic bike. As a point of reference, BMW's go wrong, the parts wear out prematurely. The gearbox on my GS1100 went at 50,000 miles etc. So the Swiss Army Knife comment is misleading. I enjoyed that, lad.

Any one looking at these reviews should know the "Specs" If they don't or a too lazy to do some homework they should move on. The reviews are just that...reviews. personal impressions from a rider who hopefully has the experience to pass an educated comment. I hear where your coming from Cal. I enjoy your vids. I bought the R9T Racer and your review amongst others went into the consideration of the purchase of that bike. Show BMW this post and you may get those riding boots you mentioned in that review.

I started out liking the "classic" BMW concept, but I'm tired of it. An overplayed aesthetic. Same with Ducati scrambler variants.
