This truck is incredible! I love the level of detail and high quality materials in it. Ford has outdone themselves for sure! I'm not a big fan of American cars, but I would consider this if I was looking for a luxurious truck!

My wife has what you got left side of her face sags a little but she doesnt let it bother her and she's as cheerful as ever. Great review, we have an 06 Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition with the 5.4 and still runs great with 119k on the odometer. We're thinking about trading it in on a new one later this year or early next year.

Bravo for omitting the two speed transfer case. Saves weight and complexity for a thing that virtually nobody (nobody who would drive this vehicle) will ever use. I’ve had 10 4WD trucks without ever having used a low range-except to see how it works.

Halfthor the world's strongest man had Bell's Palsy really bad earlier in the year. I got it from falling asleep with an ear bud in my right ear while laying on my ear. It was over a year ago and I'm 98% recovered.

I'm still driving my 2000 fully equipped Suburban with only 103,000 miles. I paid $30,000 for it brand new and custom ordered! It is ridiculous how much these things have increased. Both Ford and GM admits that these are the highest grossing margin vehicles they sell. They are gouging their customers. And we keep on buying them! Shame on you Ford and GM! And shame on you the customer for buying them, even here in Texas!

I have a 2018 F150 Lariat Supercrew with the 3.5EB... like you mentioned in the Expedition, the F150 with the 3.5EB is an absolute sleeper.... im in the 0-60 range of uner 5.5s... for a truck its a blast! You do great reviews!

This newer Ford Expedition drives pretty great they are my top 4 Large SUV'S besides Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban, GMC Yukon/Denali & Cadillac Escalade!

In my personal opinion, I would much rather have the Navigator then this expedition. I feel like for the price your paying for this platinum trim, you might as well as well shell out another 10K and get the Navigator.

2018 Ford Expedition Platinum, 6,254 miles

Excellent review! I look forward to your opinions on vehicles. I really like this expedition especially because of its fuel consumption versus how big it is. I just feel its way overpriced. The XLT is a good price and well equipped with the 202a package but where they get you is In order to get the enhanced parking assist and 360 camera and front parking sensors you have to go up to the limited. Which is part of another package putting close to 70k! I would not want to get this vehicle without the 360 camera, enhance parking or parking sensors due to how large it is.

Sofyan- The previous Expedition actually can trace it's roots to 2003. Restyled in 2007, and then again for 2015. Ancient doesn't begin to describe it. There have been 3 Tahoe generations within that time frame. Still, Ford thought of everything on this new-gen. GM really has to bring it on the new Tahoe.

This is a balanced review overall. BUT, did you stop to merge onto that highway? Were you trying to cause an accident?

That is one nice SUV. Expensive yes, but well done. But with Ford you can spec them out to what you need or don't need. Very usable too, not just a people hauler, grocery getter but you could tow an RV or horse trailer. Nice review, and hope you are better soon.

We 10 friend's just stopped buying this 2018 model because of the gear design. Waiting for the 2019 hand held top gear.

I test drove this 2018 Expedition Max this weekend and compared to newer Tahoe xl the interior ergonomics and quality is still way better on Ford and feels so much more comfortable than Tahoe. I'm just not sure on reliability on either. Seems every suv has some issue.

I love your car reviews. You are so enthusiastic about your work. I'm saddened to hear of your illness. Ftom the tag on the video I see that you have made a full recovery. I'm glad to hear that. I do have one other comment though, you test drove a high-end 2019 Ram. I'm in the market for full size pickup and I drove a Laramie and the ride was horrible. The steering was very loose and it did not have great pick up. Conversely I've driven nearly every model of the 2018 F-150 and the ride is the same across the board. Very stable and muscular and fast. You may want to test drive another Ram at a lower price point without the air suspension. Just my opinion :-) Peace and blessings to you

Good video. The FX4 Ford Expedition gives you a traditional 4x4 system with a 2-speed transfer case. It also comes with a rear locking differential. 😀

How does it fare in crash test? I like American cars but usually they bend like crazy in crash tests. I hope they will start addressing these issues.

This design isn't going to age well, none of the vehicles in this segment will. Luckily, this won't last they'll most likely facelift it 1,000 times over the next 5 years as is the trend. Quality review as always.

In my personal opinion (AKA don’t scream at me), I prefer the Tahoe. The styling of the Tahoe is better, the ride is better, the materials are better, everything is so nice in the Tahoe. I’ve test driven both the 2018 Expedition Platinum and the 2018 Tahoe Premier RST and I would choose the Tahoe. I still really like Ford’s products like the Mustang and F Series. The new Expedition is just not for me. Both companies are good and make nice vehicles, just prefer General Motors vehicles.

Can you talk more about the engineering improvements to the engine and transmission quality of theses ford vehicles .is the engine a GDI and port system so the intake valves won't get fouled up from the pvc venting of crankcase vapor oils .
