The video shows the steps necessary to replace the mirror within a 5 minute period. My mirror wasn't a heated one so the replacement was a little easier to do. Part # replaced was 76203-TVA-A01 (Mirror Sub Assy Right)

As someone who knows next to nothing about cars, thank you. I was able to fix this problem (my glass was gone, the white plate was still in the housing) on my driver's side because of your video, and your inclusion of the part name (I just changed it to left obviously because it was my driver side). I didnt have any of the stuff you did, so I used a paper clip I straightened out to pop the fasteners odd the old one, and I took a scrap of paper towel and wrapped it around the ties of them when I was pushing them back in with just my fingers because I couldn't get enough grip for the force needed without (and didn't have pliers as you used). It was about a five minute job. God knows hoe much Honda would have charged to fix it for me. Thank you so much.

thanks for the video Dale! Super helpful, when I first pulled my side mirror off after breaking it the white piece stayed attached to the mirror assembly and I wasn't sure how to proceed but this cleared things up! The heated ones are pretty much the same thing just with two little terminals you have to pull off.

I got side swiped JUST enough to spin my housing around and take my glass off.... white piece still in place, so same. Wasn't sure what to do.

I found the mirror glass but not the back plastic back part.

I did this on mine today and the two fasteners don't seem to be pushed in far enough even though the ball joint is in. I really think the white plastic and fasteners and ball need to installed first so those two fasteners can be pushed in better. Then the mirror can be pushed into the white plastic clips. If just the ball joint is connected then the mirror does not articulate from the door control.

How do I install the heated wiring? Any idea? I searched the internet, you have the best video. But as you stated, you don’t have the heated glass.
@dalechalkey3729 Жыл бұрын
If you are replacing the glass that already has heated mirrors the two wires should be behind the mirror just hooked them up to your new mirror, if you're trying to add heated mirrors to the car that didn't have heated mirrors originally that would be a lot more difficult to do and I would suggest not doing that

You skipped all the most difficult parts, namely how to get the 2 white studs out and back into the sockets.

I didn't have an extra person to film my activities so I couldn't capture those parts, just talk about what to think about.

He put the small metal tool into the cut out. It wasn't easy force wise, but I knew what to do from this video, just fine. I used a paper clip. As for popping them back in, he said you had to line up the little nipple with the cut out. What else did you want? Yes, again, hard. I did wrap a tiny piece of paper towel around the ties on the fasteners when I was trying to get the ball of each popped back in, because pushing straight down with my fingers directly on the ties was hurting my fingers, since I didn't have pliers, but I knew 100% how to do it from this video. I'm not someone who knows the first thing about cars. I call AAA to put on my donut etc, and I managed to replace my mirror in about five minutes this morning after watching this video once four days ago...
