Just took my CRV out in the blizzard with 30" of snow. I can't believe how good it is. No problems driving at all. Way better than front wheel drive. I used to worry about driving in the snow, now it's just fun!

Yes! I was surprised how easy and drama free it was driving in snow. I now own this CR-V for almost 4 years, still happy.

AWD is great for a little extra grippy snow acceleration but won’t be any better than the 2WD version while swerving or braking. Pair up a good rated winter tire with AWD to cover all the bases. Almost every vehicle I have seen in a ditch this winter are trucks and SUV’s. I think people get overly confident when their vehicle accelerates well leading them to think they have adequate grip. A quick braking situation puts them in a ditch or into the back of another car. Shop off season for good tread winters hopefully already on rims. $400 set of used winter wheels will turn most vehicles into winter worthy paved road solutions. I would take my minivan with blizzaks over a stock RAV4/ CRV / Subaru anyday for on road snow/ice driving.

Agree totally. I have winter tires on now, really makes a huge difference.

Oh, 2018 model doesn't have that feature, so it's great.

Even a 2WD can get through light powder. How does it do in heavy wet now?

Yes, true, my old minivan could plow through some light snow. But the back yard was not somewhere I want to go with minivan in deep snow like that.
