I did a lot of research and watched many KZfaq videos on Pilot vs ... before buying our Honda Pilot. Unfortunately we didn’t research enough on the quality or warranty on Honda. Our steering wheel started to peel at 30K and the interior panel by the lower seat belt strap kept popping up. Honda denied our warranty claim saying steering wheel is a normal wear item. What? At 30K should be peeling? It gets better the rep claimed we broke the panel by taking it off and broke the clip. We just can’t believe the Honda rep blamed us breaking something we didn’t even touch. I have all this in an email from them, but we can say this “never again” to buy another Honda car or Honda products. Go see Honda Facebook visitors posts and do your due diligence on warranty as well before making your decision. This is just my two cents based on my experience

Does the pilot and the crv have the same amount of head room?

My main concern are the safety features such as lane keeping assist and automatic breaking with a car slowing or suddenly stopped in front of you.This topic was not analyzed at all so I’m led to suspect both features are the same and probably the same manufacturer.

What trim are you looking at getting? The higher end models with the 9-speed automatic have been known to have some problems. But if you get a lower trim with the 6-speed then you shouldn't have anything to worry about

@@CarConfections I was looking into buy the highest trim, cause all the features I want are in the highest trim..(heated and ventilated seats, 7 passenger..and etc..) I also took a look at the highlander I like the vehicle but those bulb headlights put me off..

For all but the base trim it should have a frameless auto dimming rear view mirror.

Hello everyone. Need some advice. My car lease is up in 3 months so I need to decide if I want to stay in the Nissan family or switch to the Honda family. I currently have a Nissan Murrano, and have had a Nissan Pathfinder. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The refreshed 2019 Pilot will be at dealers within the next week or so... other top vehicles in the class could be the Toyota Highlander and Mazda CX-9. All very good offerings. Hope that helps!

Good review up to the third row review. U should have first move the middle row to be comfortable enough then sat back there. So it be more real space. Because I for one I'm 5ft 8in and I tried the third row and found it good and good space.

Noel Silva true!! The middle row seat was pushed all the way back that's why the 3rd row looked cramped. But it really is more than enough and the one of the best in it's class. 👍🏼

I like Honda Pilot I have 2005 model 8 passengers a big family is a family car for us...and upgraged in a family van for growing family and now thinking back to upgrade for SUV again...which is i like Honda Pilot but this new designed is Only 7 passengers seats today???? only skinny or toodler kid can able to fit in the 3rd row seats no additional USB input....my question is why?????

+francob911 I misspoke at the beginning. There are actually zero changes from 2017 to 2018. I thought I spotted a difference but after I looked it up it wasn't. Sorry for any confusion!

They actually changed the gear shift from push button back to a standard gear shift at least it is on my EX-L

LX, EX & EX-L have the 6-speed automatic transmission and the standard gear shifter, while the Touring and Elite have the 9-speed automatic and the push button shifter (12:20). Hope this clears things up!

I like these but I went with the explorer because it looks better and I felt it would be more reliable. Why? Because when these first came out, they had alot of transmission and electrical issues. Whereas the explorer has been put long enough to work out all the issues. I've owned it a yr and a half, so far so good.

Puff the Magic Dragon I bought the Pilot with 9speed because it looks better than the Explorer. 13 months of ownership and no problems.

Ray Garduque Nice I hope it works out for you. Imo the explorer is the best looking in its segment but I thong the pilot looks good, especially from the front. My biggest complaint is the taillights look quite dirty/suggestive if you know what I mean. If you don't, look at the taillights and you'll see why some people say it looks sexual. Personally I didn't see it at first, but ever since someone said that, I can't unsee it lol.

the explorer looks like a cop car. Nothing stands out on that car at all. it is actually do for a face lift.

nieves1974 It's the best looking car in its segment, maybe aside from the cx9. It's a range rover look alike that's actually reliable for a starting price of 31k, so a pretty great vehicle.

I hear you. I owned and loved Explorer for 5 years. It definitely has the best looks of all the off roaders and cross overs. It looks rugged and has that classical off roader look. However, for change, I am looking at Pilot or Highlander now, former being the preference. I may end up getting an Expl XLT in any case LOL.

Mel Martinez this model is the top of the line Elite model with the 2 Captain's chairs in the middle row. The rest of the model comes with a bench in the middle which seats 8 total.

They ruined the pilot. My beautiful 2012 Pilot looks amazing compared to this crossover crap. I'd personally prefer a minivan than a crossover.

I agree the new Pilots looks gross. The rounded off style cuts out space and the interior is too minivan like. The 2012 Pilot was great before they made all the buttons an interior simple. The elite has chrome hands...what is this early 2000's? lol

Its just talks about pricing im sirry i was rude not meant to be like that but pls give ppl correct info i saw a 2018 test droven with all the emblems covered and since i own one i was able to see some diffrences i followed it for about 4 miles so i got a good look again sorry just want the right info ill make a vid that maybe u can remake with the right info for ur viewers

You're fine, I understand you have best of intentions. What you probably saw was a 2019 model being tested, since it will be due for some changes next year. But the Pilot in this video is definitely a 2018 model and we got info straight from Honda that there are no changes from 2017 to 2018. Hope this helps!
