love it...the best part is the far away look on peoples faces when they stare at it...just as i did. we all imagined easily traversing a less traveled road to a magnificent view...i spent my youth on a dirt bike enjoying the off road but will never get into jeeping like my dad does...i just dont like the dust. on the bike i just passed everyone, no matter how fast they rode o i never had to breath dust like the people i rode with

I️ think Jeep part makers have gotten off super easy not competing against oem for parts. These parts will for sure be great to just order and have it done up enough stock for the person whose not mechanically inclined.

I think it's cool that jeep is acknowledging the aftermarket and the wants of the jeepers, but i still think that aftermarket fabricators will have more reasonably priced and capable parts. for example I bet the lift kit doesn't even come with adjustable control arms. I know it is only a 2 inch lift so you probably would never have to rotate your pinon angle with that but still future proofing is nice if you decide to go higher.

interesting point but about water, every time I see that, I'm like, okay, perhaps the air intake will be ok if you go say hood deep in water but what about all the electronics and all other parts of the vehicle that was not designed to be in water ? It has to do some serious damage.

I've owned 3 Jeep Wranglers in my life and they were a blast my last one a 04 Rubicon I did all my own work too. now you can roll over all these Aftermarket accessories into your payment I'm getting sick just thinking about how much people are going to get ripped off with the absorbent amount of monthly payment they would be paying for something like this but then again its their money. I could imagine the dealer markup on Jeeps with this kind configuration you're going to be seeing anywhere between 50k to 80k plus. I guess I'm a little bit spoiled since I live 5 minutes away from Quadratec in Pennsylvania. and honestly aftermarket parts made by reputable companies are a lot better. and if you're doing any kind of off-roading you should know how to wrench your own your own Jeep
@pilotguy1141
@pilotguy1141 6 жыл бұрын
Kevin Noll the only thing I think will happen if you buy all the parts from them with the lift kit and all that install from the factory they will warranty it. go aftermarket and they'll probably go tell you to f yourself if something breaks.
@Ben-md9yx
@Ben-md9yx 6 жыл бұрын
Agreed.. When I bought my 15 JKU, I also bought the lifetime warranty. Well, it turns out if you put on a lift kit with bigger tires, it will void the warranty because of the stress and strain it can cause on the drive train of the Jeep. I think that getting a Jeep the way you want it and have it covered under a warranty is awesome in my book. Put on a lift with bigger tires and then break something on the drive line, good luck getting it fixed under warranty.

yowza yowza I was told all of the mopar aftermarket parts are going to be competitively priced, the price sheet I was emailed showed what I was told. I was told with their 2” lift you will be able to have 37” tires! Mopar is going to take a big bite out of the aftermarket part companies. The dealership warranty is everything! After spending $55k for a fully loaded rubicon and adding another $30k in upgrades, your going to want to make sure it’s still covered under a factory warranty!

Took me a while to figure out what’s wrong with the JL. I thought it was the slope in the windshield, or the crink in grill at first, but mostly it’s those pansy roll bars! A lot of the commercials I’ve seen seem to avoid showing that part of the JL for very long. Put a JK next to a JK with the roofs off and the JL just doesn’t compare. They took the best selling Jeep ever and came up with a humjee?

I've sold Jeep for over a decade. Just so everyone knows, you can also add accessories from aftermarket places and roll it into your car payment. Just ask your salesman about it. Certain Mopar accessories are pretty good but for the most part, aftermarket is build better and is more affordable. It pains me to say that because salespeople usually get a bonus for selling accessories from the dealer but I would rather educate my customers on all that and let them decide.

Such a big part of the Jeep experience is the community, and the aftermarket suppliers have been the primary driving force in personalization. As much as I understand the want to capture the "lazy off-roader with more $ than know-how", this feels just a bit like Jeep's attempting to subvert a decent segment of their own community.

1970HondaCL100.. Every one of the parts shown were made by aftermarket companies and renamed and RE-PRICED as a Jeep accessory. You use to be able to get Mopar accessories way back when I bought my Jeep YJ new in 1988 that were all made by aftermarket companies and renamed Mopar accessories also. That's how long Jeep has been doing this same spiel. So the point I'm trying to get across is, this is going to change nothing when most Jeep owners are accessorizing their Jeep, because it's nothing new and the parts will be very VERY expensive when purchased this way as they've always been.

that link is subjective opinion, not based on data. it's like if i subjectively said i like strawberry instead of vanilla. the only thing they mention that is somewhat based on consumer experiences is reliability, and by far the vast majority of complaints contributing to the reliability rating (subscriber survey based) was glitches in the new stereo system which were corrected in months. the vast majority of complaints didn't involve the operation of the vehicle. that link was published in march of 2017 and the 2016 was the new redesign, so they are not actually going on performance data. compare the actual recalls of the 3rd gen taco intro (4 recalls 7 tsb) with the colorado from the previous year (6 recalls 149 tsb) and what the recalls actually involved (col transmission not shifting properly) and how many were lemon lawed. the taco has not slipped at all in resale value and by far outsells the colorado and canyon combined according to KBB real world data, not opinion. their top rated compact pickup for 2017 was the honda ridgeline, which starts at like $30k and goes over $42k. try taking that thing off road (not a golf course) and come back with a performance data based reliability score.

The world runs on Toyota. A few dumb Americans buy this shit. 4x4 and off roading is way bigger in Australia for example where they actually have a good selection of real 4x4’s. Not dodge. The after market is huge all over the world. I buy much of my stuff from Australia like ARB. Saves me buying dodge shit.

The 2018 wrangler looks like nothing but a little puppy, why anybody wants to try to make it look aggressive, I don't know.

looks like someone kicked in the side where that dumb vent is. Maybe men and not homosexuals should be designing them?

Nic Parker I don't like the vent either. Makes the jeep look less rugged in my opinion
