Just some observations and comments regarding my KFI install of plow and winch. Hope it helps somebody. Any questions, please ask.
One thing I forgot to mention, on the disappointing side, was the relay switch under the hood. I didn’t get any screws to mount it with the kit. Seemed odd. I had a few lying around that worked but something to keep in mind when you get your kit.

I think that blade is all a guy needs to plow snow around his place. Smart not having the dealer do a wildly over priced snow plow install. Some of us have made that mistake.

I agree! They are a necessary evil sometimes though. I try to avoid them as much as possible. Important to know your limitations.

Thanks for the video Brian. I have also been looking for videos on the KFI plow systems used on the Kawasaki Mules. I definitely want to go with a 66 inch KFI for my new Mule. I just haven’t decided whether to go with the steel or the new ProPoly. I have a 21 SX XC LE. I'm not sure if I would have enough horse power for the ProPoly because of the added height. I see videos with them installed on the Ranger 500 and 570s, so I may be okay as long as I plow smart and just push what it will handle. On another note for you, KFI makes a prewired dash switch as an option. I think it comes with the Stealth winch options, but I'm sure you can buy it for your setup.

Thanks for the comment. Kawi has a 60” they’d recommend on your machine so I wouldn’t go over that. As far as poly vs steel - pros and cons to both like everything. I have a long dirt driveway, I’m more comfortable with steel for rocks I might hit. I think it was a little cheaper also. Do your research and pick what’s best for you. It’s a big investment.

I will also think you for the trouble to film this stuff. Like you, I use YT a lot for seeking real experience with a product before buying. Which capacity winch do you have? And is that the 72" blade? I have a Mule FXT and am trying to get the right setup for it while staying away from $$$Kawasaki prices.

I just bought the 3000 lb KFI winch. Some would say the 5000 lb is better but I figured for what I’m using it for (basically just picking up the plow) this would be fine. And yes - that’s the big plow blade. Machine handles it with ease.

Thanks! I actually went through my local power sports dealer and they set me up with everything I needed. Check out: www.wps-inc.com/dealer-locator I like supporting my local small businesses so I decided to go through them but I also called kfi and they were very helpful on the phone explaining the parts I needed.

What if you already have a winch installed, can you use that instead? And if you don't, can you use this winch for other things after the plow is removed?

You should be able to use your already installed winch. You’d just have to add the plow mount to the Mule.

Can use the winch anytime, even with the plow mount on.
