Some amazing tech here, time will be the real test of how really good it is. What I find amusing is that the wealthy S-Class owner has such a small garage, he needs to remotely drive it in and out to get access to it. I suppose in Europe its a great feature but in countries like the USA or Australia we aren't so tightly squeezed in to really need this feature

There were two safety situations that weren’t mentioned in this video I think are important, that would firstly be side collision harm reduction. The Audi A8 has a fantastic system that will monitor the situation around the car and if it detects an imminent side impact, it will raise that whole side of the car, tighten seatbelts, close windows and skylights so as to have to not only minimise the harm to the occupants but channel the force of the impact to the lower carriage of the car which is structurally far stronger and more able to take the impact than the drivers door. I have not seen a similar safety system for side collisions from any of the other manufacturers. The second situation is more a general consideration for all manufacturers, and that’s delay when pressing the accelerator. Many vehicles in recent years have quite a delay in the car engine reacting from the point of a person putting their foot on the accelerator to actually picking up significant speed and I feel this is very dangerous, particularly when wanting to overtake another vehicle, when pulling onto main roads and even with simply being able to evade dangerous situations if such a situation present itself. I won’t buy a car that doesn’t instantly react to my foot on the accelerator for the above reasons I mention.

As a person with a disability and one who at times uses a wheelchair, that remote parking assistance to remotely drive the car partially out of or into a tight parking space would be fantastic, unfortunately as a person with a disability relying on a disability pension, there is no way I could afford a car with such technologies. At least I can look forward to a future where this tech is mainstream in all vehicles, including those that I could afford. Annoyingly, as someone who has particularly fragile bones and a vulnerable body, I am one who would benefit from these technologies, much more so than the average person but again people in situations like my own could not afford one of these vehicles. Please let me win the lottery, otherwise, @Mercedes or @Audi, feel free to sponsor me a Mercedes S-class or Audi A8 (or any of your vehicles featuring the latest safety tech) in Australia, I would be a fantastic advocate for all the included technologies and brand to all the disability and wider community on your behalf 😋
