If it’s really close to a pedestrian it would brake but if the pedestrian Is far enough you can swerve to right or left and you can brake it a little help the active brake

The driver was in control and chose to swerve the car either left or right. The car supports the steering and keeps the car stable and in control. As sometimes a jerk to the steering wheel espc in an emergency could swerve a car out of control.
