This is probably the best comparison video I've seen. Having said that, I seriously doubt the little speakers on my computer are doing either exhaust justice. Still, I think this is the first time I've been able to pick up on the "raspyness" they say the X pipe adds to the exhaust note. Overall, I think they're both good with the X pipe being slightly louder but not obnoxiously so in most modes shown here but I'd think if I had the optional active exhaust, I wouldn't worry about doing any other modifications. I'm considering a resonator delete with an H pipe on my 2016 GT. I'd love to see this same comparison with the H pipe just to hear the difference in tone as compared to the X pipe.

It definitely sounded better after the X pipe/resonator delete. In fact I think it sounded pretty BADASS. The stock exhaust sounds too tinny imo. Great video, I can't wait to see more from you!

I went with an H-pipe first day I bought the car. Both H and X sound good. Either way you go, get that resonator in the trash. 🤙🏾

i couldn't agree more, I just did resonator delete on my 18 gt mustang 2 weeks ago.And went x pipe with professional shop removing the suitcase.I told them I wanted h pipe bc of me wanting the ol skool deeper and throatier growl.But shop convinced me it was there xpipe they themselves built that would come to my liking.And you know what it is.My car sounds mean...A tab louder than stock active exhaust,deeper and like a lion on steroids growl. All for 218$ .love it...

Wanted to add that the stock exhaust without active with resonator sound is no where near good sounding than with active exhaust.

daniel gleksman yep I had x pipe with no mufflers pops were crazy now unfortunately got tired of the loudness and drone so I threw back on the mufflers kept x pipe super quiet in cabin maybe a little too much... will have someone drive it around so I can hear how it sounds from outside . I definitely miss those fun pops during downshifts

OR... you could just get the active exhaust and throw on an x-pipe (which equals perfection) and get the best of both worlds! ;)

Which will make the quiet mode sound loud too. That breaks the purpose of active exhaust, but who cares as long as it sounds great right? 😂

Right! See, you get it! Suprisingly, I've listened to a multitude of videos with active/X-Pipe combo, and it still sound pretty quite, at least when ya need it to lol.

I think what you mean is you'd like an x-pipe and put a couple small resonators in right after, like Vibrants or Dynomax Race Bullets.

If you don’t have the active exhaust go with an axle back with no mufflers, and and x pipe

No muscle car should be an automatic. Or even any mid-range sports car for that matter, like for instance the Toyota 86 and the Ford Focus ST, and Focus RS all come equipped with manual gearboxes only, as God intended.

BOWMAN-GT definitely is alittle faster no doubt, but the fun factor of a 6 speed is way way better, an it feels faster. It’s not like we are all out here racing NHRA drag racing for every tenth of a second. I just in joy a manual, more fun to drive and play around with, and I’ve had both.
