At 18:00 ish you mention Radar Rat Race it was also a cartridge for the Commodore VIC 20 which I received in the post about 35 years ago and I never knew where it came from, I used to go through my computer game magazines and find the phone number for the game companies and ask them to send me some price lists and posters, this was way before the internet and amazingly most companies and publishers would send me loads of free stuff, I doubt it would work nowadays , sending out Emails to every game companies, Love the videos just seeing the Track and Field cabinet you have brings back so many fond memories, A place we would go to at weekends would have a JAMMA cabinet and we would play Pacland, DJ Boy and Dynamite Dux, here in the UK games used to cost 10p then 20p games like Double Dragon and then up, the last arcade games used to cost £2 a credit. Now I'm old enough your Videos have given me an incentive to get my own cabinet,Emulation has its place but it just isnt the same feeling, so if anyone moans about it I shall point them in this direction as its all your fault.

Nolan Bushnell (founder of Atari) mentioned someone had used slugs of ice the size and shape of quarters in his Pong machines back in the day. He mentioned they would put a little sand in the ice to give it the right weight and then put those in the coin mech. When the owner would collect the quarters, all there would be would be just some melted ice in the hopper which of course would damage his wooden coin box over time.

😂 I was the same as a kid with Dungeons and 🐉. I was around 10 years old and remember all my friends and I wanted one so bad! My mother took me to Sears and bought me one. I brought it home opened it up and was like cool figures, dice and board art work!! Then now how do I play??? None of my friends didn’t know either ? Went straight to the board game shelf never to be played 😆

Awesome vid John, by the way, that Ladybug at 1h6m33s is in an Artic Cabaret cabinet, I have one of those cabs myself, made by ATW / Artic Electronics Ltd. They produced a few games which appear to be on Scramble hardware such as 'Super Star' and 'Mars'. There is a flyer which shows the actual game Scramble in an Artic cab so I wonder if they had a license for it at some point? I rescued one of these cabs which was water damaged and beat to hell. My cab is now a multi game and has the sideart that you designed on it. Lovely little cab.

Holy shit John! I had a Mattel Aquarius computer too @ 54:35. It was a glorified Intellivision for sure. I actually had the the expansion piece that had two controllers (with the discs on them). I also had the Coleco Gemini system @ 54:50. It was a standalone Atari 2600 clone. They ended up getting sued and it was removed from retail stores. I found it superior to Atari since the controllers had the paddles built in. Also, the joystick was WAY easier to use than Atari's stiff carpel tunnel inducing joystick.

The gimmick with Safecracker is you could lock balls to play a "boardgame" on the back glass. If you made it all the way to the vault, it would spit out a "magic token" from that slot at the bottom of the backglass, which you could insert to play a special "Assault the Vault" game. My buddy has one of these machines... insanely fun, but insanely difficult to get high scores on.

Hey John would you ever build a classic from scratch? As in, reproduction cabinet from a cabinet shop and reproduction art, stuff like that? I work in a cabinet shop and I was thinking about building a Pacman cabinet/cabaret. I was just thinking that a reproduction would completely destroy the authenticity of it, but it... what do you think?

If something is 1.5 times as large, that means it's 50% bigger. 100 x 1.5 = 150. Maybe the guy meant to say 2.5 times as large, which would be make it 150% bigger (in regards to the Donkey Kong machine).

So you mentioned selling 4 games. 3 in the basement and 1 in the garage. I noticed Mad Planets and Cloak & Dagger are missing. The Bally Sente cab wasn't in the frame at any point, but I'm guessing that might be the 3rd cab gone. Still hoping the one in the garage that's gone is just the Sega Power Drift and not the Turtles. I hope I'm right. Am I right? Do I win a prize? Lol. Kinda surprised to see the Cloak & Dagger missing. I thought that was one of the grail games you wanted. Maybe it was just moved. It wasn't in the same spot as it was in the last video.

F14 TOMCAT one of my favorite pinball machines ever. And i know a little "cheat" on it you could rack up some big points with not much effort because you can trap the ball in the left flipper. After the yagoo killls and Go On endless loop. With the left flipper. Only if it's balance right... And trust me I made great points on F14 TOMCAT with this exploit.
