This is how a $3000 Akrapovic full-racing exhaust sounds on the new Yamaha R1M.
The Akrapovic Evo system is one of the best looking and most performant aftermarket exhausts. The job took us around two hours but the result was far better than we expected.
The throttle response is now sharper and the bike feels a lot more powerful. Together with the racing exhaust system we’ve also fitted a Power Commander fuel module to make sure everything is running perfect. Guaranteed satisfaction, so stay tuned for the next video that will take place on track.

Most of you probably already know, but the stock headers on the R1 are already titanium. Basically buying new ones is just throwing money away. Each to their own though

Yep i got the same exhaust can but used the Akrapovic titanium link pipe once I took the cat off. They call it a 3/4 system but it's just as good.

Tuned slightly different the OE headers, had a 3/4 system on my bike until a few weeks ago, have the full evo now and bikes up a few BHP

Amazing how the manufacture supports aftermarket products. Yamaha should have an exhaust like this on the bike when they make it. (based on the price of this model) Some people would like to buy a bike and not have to spend thousands upgrading it.

This isn't a street legal exhaust bud. Emission laws require you to have a catalytic converter and a muffler that silences the sound. They have those exhausts on there for a reason.

You want this exhaust stock on bike go get bmw s1000r 🤦🏼‍♂️ still going to sound like crap… the stock muffler for r1 was designed after this exhaust anyways… plus customization is what we like to do.. I don’t want my R1M to look like everyone and their moms R1M this is why I didn’t go with this exhaust and think the graves sounds way better

Loud af. Just installed one on my R1 at a guess, considering they're tested with the stock system at 99db's @ 6500rpm (stamp on the left side just under the front of the tank) or so. I'd say they idle at, at least 100db

I was looking into getting the full Akrapovic race system like this but the rep was telling me that it could potentially melt the stock fairings? They recommended that I get a “race kit” that they told me Yamaha would sell to me directly. I called my dealerships and they said this “race kit” doesn’t exist. So I emailed the rep again and they said it might be different from European spec. Has anyone had melting issues when running this akropovic race system on stock R1M fairings?

Jack Jones yeah you are a know nothing, it's a 200 rear tire and he is very near the edge. Probably not as good as a rider as you though right brah? You probably have a CBR250 with a 160 on the back and still have chicken strips. Douche.

They come stock without a baffle, you have to buy them separately

JEEZ why doesn’t Yamaha or other bike manufacturers allow all this work to be tailored into the production of any bike , they’d still get PROFIT off the customers and I’d say every customer would be more than happy to pay the extra charge knowing that they’d be changing the exhaust anyway .

carbon fiber is stronger than the abs plastic they use for the normal r1 fyi. The carbon fiber will crack under extreme stress or extreme bending. for the mid range power, you could use a fuel controller, or you can flash the ecu and have it tuned/install an autotune. Your exhaust was burning because you didn't clean it after you touched with with your hands. The oils on your skin will be burnt into the titanium.
