Glad to see a 330d still means you get a 3 Litre inline 6 engine and not a 2 Litre inline 4 engine. The petrol cars nomenclature is really silly. They should have just kept it simple.

Then buy the M340i if you want an i6 petrol...... why would they make 3 variants of i6 engines, it makes no sense. I bought the 330i because it’s perfect for most people, same power as the 330d but much cheaper to purchase and maintain. 330D is too expensive but good enough for those who can afford a bit more, and M340i for those who are performance orientated. This is keeping it simple. Complicated would be having a i6 petrol and diesel providing the same performance and then adding an extra i6 petrol.

Fast jedes Autobahn Video auf KZfaq ist komplett nutzlos wenn man einfach nur sehen will, wie der höchste Gang bei der eigenen Reisegeschwindigkeit übersetzt ist. Es fährt einfach JEDER in diesen Videos im "S"-Modus. Als ob das der normale Pendler jemals machen würde. Das ist so frustrierend, da ich nur aus diesem Grund solche Videos suche.

For a 265HP diesel the time it needs to reach 250 is totally ok. I'm impressed. But then BMW does make the best diesel cars (at least in my opinion), so that's no surprise. :)

There is a reason why Mercedes went back to the Inline 6 concept. Inline 6 is for me the best engine layout in terms of power and fuel efficiency. I drive a old e91 330xd with 6,9ltr per 100km, a audi A4 with V6 TDI needs easily 1ltr more.

@Mike O'Horny das du audi fahrer bist kannst du dir beim nächsten mal auch sparen das merkt man schon an der schreibweise audifahrer gehen nämlich immer sofort an die decke und werden beleidigend wenns ums auto geht 😂 fahre zufällig einen 430d und bin extrem zufrieden damit 😁 ich sag nur 258ps 560nm drehmoment und 8 gang sportautomatik bin ein dünner ganz entspannter Österreichischer kerl der eine extrem Defensive fahrweise an den tag legt

2000 BMW 330i = 3 litre and 6 cylinder RWD 2040 BMW 330i = 1 litre and 4 cylinder with 5 turbocharger and FWD

Yeah I’m the UK 330D is about £3k more expensive and you also pay extra £310 for new car tax for 5 years, that’s £4.5k more....... I’m not sure it’s worth it since a it’s not actually much faster, you won’t recover that money back in fuel costs. Doesn’t make much sense.

@@NickLiang Indeed! The 30d is faster from 0 to 100 km/h but at higher the 30i is actually faster. But as you mention there isn’t that much difference in terms of performance, these two are very close.

Mich würde ja mal interessieren, wie groß der Unterschied bezüglich des Geräuschniveaus ist, wenn man den neuen G20 mit dem aktuellen G30 vergleicht. Am neuen 3er wurde ja ordentlich was optimiert, bedenkt man, wie laut der Vorgänger war.

This engine will be not available for the US, Canada it's a Europe thing. The NA market gets the m340d instead of the 330d. A bit weird but I think is all about marketing

@@xCobi Probably because the insurance in US is cheap as hell so they dont need weaker engines. In europe they try to keep the hp down so the consumers pay less insurance.

Black Sea WT Power den 330d fährst du zwischen 8und 10 Liter, der 330i ist im Verbrauch 8-15 Liter, klar ist der Benziner spritziger, aber ich würde den 330d immer vorziehen. Bin beide Testweise gefahren. Habe aktuell noch den alten 320d. Der nächste wird ein 330d. Wir haben diesen Motor auch im x3 und der macht richtig Spaß 😃

turbo blowoffs + sound im sport(plus)-modus sprechen ganz klar für den 330i. Aber richtig, 330d punktet mit Verbrauch bei längerem Highspeed und natürlich dem verbauten R6. Aber wie gesagt, Sound ist definitiv ein Faktor! 🌟

Thisura Yapa speedo reads 6-8kmh faster. In the G30, it reads 260 when the gps is 248.

M340d is coming soon that's the real competitor to the S4. The problem with audi is the V6 layout. There is a reason why Mercedes went back to the R6 Layout.

So I'm confused. I thought the Autobahn law prohibits passing on the right? But a landrover did, and I thought left lane driving was prohibited also. **NOT saying anyone did wrong** just getting clarification. Also bin ich verwirrt. Ich dachte, das Autobahngesetz verbietet die Weitergabe von Rechten? Aber ein Landrover tat es, und ich dachte, das Fahren auf der linken Spur sei ebenfalls verboten. ** NICHT sagen, dass irgendjemand etwas falsch gemacht hat **, nur um Klarstellung zu bekommen.

@@Packerm87 I think you can drive on the left lane everytime you like to but you are supposed to be on the line the most right if you can So if there is too much traffic on the right lane you go left So basically it is what you said earlier

Paul you are completely right. There is the "rechtsfahrgebot" that means you have to drive on the right, only for overtaking you can drive on the left.

To cruise noone needs so much power. The noise of the suspension, wind and tires is heavy. A BMW 3 Series is no crusing car, to nerveous, to less comfort.

In all other BMW with this engine yes you are right with 620nm but the new 330d has only 580nm. I don't know why. Maybe when the xdrive is coming they want to increase to 620🤔

@@DerEchteBabo fuel economy not much better...have you ever driven one...even 335d have better fuel economy than 320i...petrol is big drinker,trust me there are diesels that sound like godzillas you just need to know what you doin when you do job around exhaust system,5 rpm,you tell me that you drive above 5k rpm all the time... nothing compares with instant torque from low rpms...drive one 330d or 335 even 320d with stage 2 delivers 240hp with 480rpm...if that is low for you,you obviously drive ferrari and supercars only

Schaut Euch das Video doch mal genau an. Das Fahrwerk ist doch knüppelhart. Mit entspanntem Reisen hat das doch nichts mehr zu tun. Das wär nicht mein Auto, da kann der Motor noch so toll sein.

"perfect cruiser" ? sorry, but a BMW 318i/d would still be enough for "cruising" purposes on the Autobahn... the average new car in Germany has 130 BHP und ganz im Ernst, einige Leute sollten mal zwischendurch wieder einen VW Up fahren mit 60 oder 75 PS. Was manche Leute für Vorstellungen haben! Da wird gern mal ein E250 (>200 PS) als "zugeschnürt" beschrieben... und wenn ich lese, dass mein C180 mit 156 PS zum "angenehmen, ruhigen Mitschwimmen im Alltag ausreichend" ist, obwohl dieser immer noch überdurchschnittlich motorisiert ist und nach Tacho packt der auch 240 (als Einstiegsmotorisierung wohlgemerkt), weiß ich nicht, was mit diesem Land los ist.
