Really excellent reconstruction of Giganotosaurus carolinii! he is very beautiful like his, even if the figurine is expensive . The only flaw in the figure is the claws and the size of the hand but it does not matter .

Great review Andy. Fantastic figure! This will compete with anything out there. Love the natural look of it.Really is amazing and what value! Also nice to know that the sales of the figure go back into research.

I am waiting with high hope for such an incredible figure of T.rex might be released by Eofauna in future, which will be scientifically accurate from head to tail, having well proportioned limbs, just like this incredible Eofauna Giganotosaurus figure. I want that T.rex to contain lips, prominent lacrimal and jugal osteoderms (with the one just behind the eye and above the snout) which are lacking in most T.rex figures, smooth finely scaled skin devoid of osteoderms or wrinkles in the body and if possible slight addition of dorsal protofeathers only. Thanks!!!

Well good news, Eofauna has officially announced their Tyrannosaurus figure they are working on. The computer generated models already look incredible and very scientifically accurate. Definitely excited for its release in the near future.

the right foot of your giganotosaurus is warped upward causing it to fall heat it up bend it down a little with a hairdryer or hot water and it should stand

You got that giga!!!This giga is the best one yet!!!The paint sculpt is amazing!And it could stand!!!Just wow!This is a amazing figure.Also i have a question will the 6 inch line from mattel jurassic world that will be realised in March t rex big or just 6 inches???Epic review!!

(I know it's probably more realistic this way but still) kind of dislike the polished look of the scales which makes them hardly distinhuishable. Wonder if good dry brushing could accentuate them or there's too little of a relief to be picked by dry brush.

Definitely I must get it! The sculpt head is very accurate, it looks like Carcharodontosauridae, I mean, I’m not a paleontologist but it is very realistic. The color skin, bird like feet as emu. It has some flaws such as teeth, it would be perfect, if they were sharper but it doesn’t matter. Nice figure. Greetings.

Actually fun fact the teeth don't look as sharp or long because scientists believe carnivorous dinosaurs had lips that covered most of their teeth this figure reflects that speculation

Today I got it! A very well done figure, good quality, accuracy, but... it’s a little bit small. Notoriously smaller than Papo Running T Rex, I mean, talking about dimensions. My only complaint the size. Greetings. PD. My Giganotosaurus stands very well.

Honestly, I could never get to these type of dinosaur figures. It is nicely detailed, its just that the figure has little articulation. I definitely like the Giganotasaurus its just that I pefer some joints in the arms and legs.

There's the Giant Southern Lizard King!! It's kinda small to be a 1:35 scale figure since the Vitae Giga is also 1:35 scale but is larger.

You've got a point. Although I don't think they're too far off in size. Been awhile since I saw my vitae giga. I could be wrong.

SpinoGuy /Spinosaur Slasher/ it's not too small. It's a 40 cm long figure, so it is perfecty framed in 1:35 scale.

Giga is not 1:35 it’s 1:40 since it’s not in scale with papo T. rex unless that’s rexy true size

Sadly most of my figures head to storage after I review them as I live in a fairly small house with my wife and kids, so I don't have any running rexes out at the moment. Sorry about that! 😔

Unfortunately mine has a tail that curves down in a perfect arc until the tip of the tail touches the floor. Doubly unfortunate because it's a hard plastic so the hot water trick doesn't work so well. Given the previous two sculpts which are beyond superb this to me is a bit of a disappointment. Especially when considering one hand is larger than the other and mine has a really dark paint job that lacks real contrast. I hope they go back to producing prehistoric mammals.

In real life T. rex was much larger then a Giganotosaurus.

Gavin Myatt The current understanding is that they were around the same size, although Tyrannosaurus was a considerably thicker and bulkier dinosaur, while Giganotosaurus had a much slimmer build.

T.rex and Giganotosaurus are basically the same size.. Giga was larger and faster while T.rex is slightly smaller but much slower than Giga. It's not a drastix size difference. Also BTW, we only have very few Giga specimens while we have ALOT of T.rex specimens, so don't instantly assume that T.rex was way larger(it probably wasn't as large as you think it is..)
