What’s awesome about this figure is that it’s modeled directly off of a 3D scan of the actual skeleton, which is ridiculously awesome.

Which skeleton though? And isn’t it a still incomplete animal? Like we don’t have all of its fossils

Yuyari Cachimuel Do you mean our specimens are incomplete? Because if so yes, they are, however we are able to fill in the blanks in our knowledge of there anatomy by using closely related charcharodontosaurids with more complete fossils as a sort of “guide” when reconstructing the blanks. I do not know for certain what specimen it’s based off of, but I’m assuming it’s MUCPv-95. (The type specimen) which is like 70% complete. The only other specimen I believe is just a jaw fragment. (Pls correct me if I’m wrong)

@@yuyaricachimuel555 We have about 3/4 of the entire animal; the skull, and most of it's post cranial skeleton, so we have a great idea of what it looked like. The other bits and pieces can be filled in by referencing other Carcharodontosaurs

SpinoDude Hmm that’s very true. I guess sometimes we might find a specific difference )kinda like how we found some differences in Spinosaurus compared to others of the spinosaurid family), but I dunno xD

Nice review! Like the new setup. A really good figure, but the Safari Giga still looks just as good. Dang I didn’t really see this in Kiki’s review, but those scales are crisp!

Wonderful review Spinodude and You will have to review Eofauna's Steppe Mammoth & Straight Tusked Elephant both supreme. Also if you get their New Theropod book you'll see that the Giga is the exact animal in colour & pose and I think this gives us and idea what future Theropods will look like from Eofauna's future releases. Eofauna's figures are real game changes and Three Big Companies may up their games.

Waiting to get this big boi... also hearing you say that you thought we were getting too many Giga figures, I was thinking yeah sorta, but then the most popular one of them all is Schleich’s weird looking monster, so yeah I guess we needed more legitimately realistic looking ones, and now we got a few (this one, also PNSO, Safari’s two models, and Vitae. Who else?) But now if there’s one large theropod dinosaur that NEEDS this treatment, it’s Carcharodontosaurus..... Safari made two (one being long gone now), CollectA has one that’s completely shrink wrapped, so yeah, we really deserve more of that. I’ll say the same for Mapusaurus (though for some reason I feel like it has lots of attention because of CollectA’s new model, but I’m probably wrong, even that one needs it, as well as Tyrannotitan.)

I wanted to have the Eofauna 2019 Giganotosaurus for awhile now,But if I do finally get the Giganotosaurus,I'll probably still be amazed from the Size,and Appearance of this figure.

Hello, Nice review. I agree that this does seem very scientificlly accurate. On display it pairs beautifully next too the Safari figure indicating male and female.

Regarding the tongue your spot on if anyone has ever kept a chickensaurus and have had to give them medicine via the mouth their tongues are extremely stiff and attached about 75% more to the lower jaw then mammals they can move it slightly back a very little. Collecta could learn abit about disguising their articulated jaw Deluxe Torvo😉

I wanna mention that the relatively recent anti-shrinkwrapping phenomenon may have been overblown a bit. Look at the head of ratites closely, and you'll get what I'm saying.

Also can someone explain to me what shrinkwrapping is?

shrink wrapping is when the fenestrae (or "holes") in the animal's skull are visible through the skin, or the ribcage etc. It gives the impression of an underfed unhealthy animal.

It's as if suran wrap was placed over the skull or skeleton indicating no skin or muscle thickness.
