This is the first 1000 mile review of the new to me, 2019 Indian Roadmaster. I did trade my VTX I had, that was on some older videos. The timing was right, for a 15 year old upgrade. And man does this RM have it all! I'm not sponsored or anything by any of these companies. I put the links here because I think they are good parts and items that I have used so far.
Basically it's blah blah blah til:
10:41 Stage 1 Exhaust Sound
12:27 TABs with Zombies
13:09 Horn Test. Turn it down if you turned it up to hear the exhaust! lol
Then more blah til the end after the exhaust sounds. But still my thoughts on this Indian. I like it, I can't wait to have my first long trip on it!
Pretty good Ride Command tutorial since I am still learning it, and didn't talk much about it other than some of the features I have already used: • Indian Ride Command 20...
Indian Stage 1 Exhaust: I knew the moment I started it up and left the dealer, I didn't like it. Just not loud enough for me. Sound is individual perception, and these only got "loud" if you rapped out the RPMs, or revved it with this setup. Too low for me. The tips I picked from the dealer, and kept with the other exhaust I got. These barely had 500 miles on them before I replaced them.
TAB Performance Slip Ons with Zombie Baffles. Almost 500 miles on these now, too. I know I'm just short of 1000 on the odometer, but its close enough. www.tabperformance.com/Indian... Their home page has all models listed for motorcycles they make exhaust for. As well as the first responder discount. In addition, the tips are cheaper as a pair if you buy the slipons together with them. Individual tips on their site are much more expensive. I really like the sound of these. Much louder on start up. Accelerating, or really accelerating, everyone will hear it with the zombie baffles. I wanted louder, and these are great. The buildings in the video I think create kind of a echo with the sound bouncing off the one behind the camera and in front. But a great sound with these. Many great YT vids on Indians to hear, too! This video sold me on them: • TAB Performance Exhaus... And he has a couple more vids to hear more of them on his channel. All I had was my MotoZ3 so that's the best sound and video it'll have. Hope it's ok for those considering exhaust sounds!
Here is where I got my throttle rocker/throttle boss tabs on my grips. They are the velcro version: throttlerocker.3dcartstores.com/ They are not cruise control. I forgot to mention the actual real electronic cruise control feature on this bike. These are nice so you don't have to grip the grip the entire time, you can use the palm of your hand to help disperse grip power on the throttle to roll it or release it.
Skene Design for P3 tail light, and front Photon Blasters. He has new light designs, but same great function. It's called a "conspicuity flicker" the light operates on a hertz frequency to give it the "shimmer" that is exacerbated by the camera frame rate. A bit pricey, but provide great visibility. I use the Photon Blaster with Alert feature. Two quick presses of the brake within one second, they will flash a pattern like the rear brake lights do.

Good quick video about their backrest. You can see the parts number in the video description. As well as a direct link to it. Check out the installation instructions too. I always like that to know what I'm getting in to when it arrives. Considerably cheaper than the Indian store. As well as no issues so far with it, with a wide range of adjustability for height, and forward and back lean once set.
Diode Dynamics: www.diodedynamics.com/stage-s... This company is where I got the extra LED lights I mounted to my highway bars. They are very bright, and throw a ton of light. They are nice for night riding, to keep an eye out for wandering animals.
