Welcome back to another episode of Geared Towards Automotive In today's video we cover the new 2019 Kia Sportage SX Turbo. This one is fully loaded and was given to me by Carriage Kia of Woodstock. Some of the standard features include power seats, heated seats, heated steering wheel, panoramic moonroof, blind spot indication system, 2.0 turbo engine. This car is fast, sporty and economic at the same time. Kia has come a long way and is absolutely a brand to check out.

I have a 2011. Just turned over 200,000 absolutely trouble free miles love love love this car. Easy to pay for when they hold up like that. Thanks Kia glad I met you.

I got the 2019 Sportage lx awd a week ago or so---first time Kia owner. Pacific blue, remote start, 675 miles on it (had 29 when I got it) and so great in the snow. It's terrific to hear more and more good news about Kia's reliability.

That's great. My gf had a sephia bout 10 years ago.It was actually great when it ran! Had trans issues and melted the HVAC dash harness. Cranked w no start in winters. Wore through the floor mat ,the carpet, the carpet pad , & into the shiny metal under the gas pedal in under a hundred thousand miles. I'm glad the quality has increased since 2002 cuz Kia left a pretty bad taste in my mouth

@@theejoeylee They say that today's Kias are now as reliable as Toyota's and Hondas. Is this true?? Just curious of other's opinions.

Black Shark my family and myself have been driving kias since the early 2000s from my experience they are either extremely reliable or they’re wh but the dealer always makes it right. Currently own a 2020 Stinger GT

I have an 11 SX turbo. Absolutely love it. Amazing in the snow and on ice. Mine is Signal Red. So reliable!

This car does have blind spot warning, but that beeping you heard was your Lane Departure Warning, not the blind spot warning, which has a different beep. I know because I own this car. Just an FYI.

I just bought the 2020 SX and I love it! The two tone seats are very impressive !! This is my 3rd KIA and I am very happy !! Rides like a car not an SUV!! It does fly too!!

Currently my favorite crossover with my most favorite interior! No iPad dash that many have gone with which I hate! The dark beige is gorgeous. A great replacement for my old Highlander which is still a good car.

I’m new to the car review channels, but I’ve yet to see a bad review from anyone. It could be because it’s doubtful a dealer would give you use of their vehicles if you bash their products. I get it, but let’s face it, every vehicle isn’t reminiscent of a luxury priced SUV, or super comfy. How can we trust a review that always gives the car a positive review.

We just bought the same car except we went with the gray interior. I liked the beige but the wife didn't, its her car so she won. I agree with everything in your review, pretty spot on. I really like the blind spot warning and the stereo cranks! We have about 500 miles on it now and just went on a several hundred mile trip, freeway and city and it is a very user friendly vehicle and comfortable to drive. We had a Mini Cooper Countryman S All4 prior to this and what a nightmare layout. Every time i got in that car I had to learn all over again, this is a real breeze. Never owned a KIA before but my buddy has a 2011 Sportage SX Turbo who has had great luck and is up around 120,000 miles. Great warranty too, KIA of Puyallup in WA State doubles the factory warranty with 20yr. 200,000 miles. Thanks for the review.

Mine is being delivered TOMORROW !!! And I can hardly wait. Also came from a 2012 Mini CountrymanS. The road noise and interior layout was awful. Thanks for your post, I can totally relate. Mine is Pearl White with the same sport interior featured here. Enjoy.

I have a sx turbo. Really fast truck. I call it my lil beast but horrible horrible on gas. It has 40 more torque than horsepower

So does this have instant throttle response with no lag? I test drove a 1.6 turbo with 7 speed dual clutch and hated the throttle lag, surging, and rev hang!

Korey Mayo bought one today no lag. Very Responsive in sport mode

@@ContentinMesa I had it in sport mode and it lags, and when you let off of the gas pedal after a full throttle pull the revs stays up for a couple seconds after you take your foot off of the gas pedal. The 7 speed dry dual clutch wasn't smooth at all and it supposedly eats gas too.

@@ContentinMesa Hyundai/ Kia are coming out with a new 8 speed wet dual clutch in the optima and sonata that is supposed to be a lot smoother and more fuel efficient! Hopefully they will put it in more vehicles!

@@ContentinMesa also tork motorsports makes a tune for the 1.6T that makes the transmission a lot smoother and eliminates the lag and surging and rev hang and improves fuel economy and acceleration!

I looked at the Kia website and couldn't find anything on a heads up display or auto wipers. The absence of comment suggests that it doesn't have it. I couldn't find anything on heated rear seats either. These are things I've come to enjoy and hope to find them on the Kia.

I own 1 and no it doesnt have heated rear seats the front seats are heated and cooled and both are power seats not just the drivers side. And it also doesnt have heads up display or auto wipers which to me are annoying anyways. I can say this is the first foreign car I have bought and I love it so far and it does get up and go and still have plenty of passing power even when going 70.

Kurt Grundel No heads up. No auto wipers. Yes rear heated seats. No adaptive cruise. Not sure what Chris W is driving. I own this car, and, yes rear seats are heated.

Samiam 666 Hmm. I don’t think the 2020 model has heated rear seats. I like everything about the Sportage except it doesn’t have auto wipers. Hyundai has them available on the Limited version of the Tucson. I don’t know why they can’t put them on the top version of the Sportage🤷‍♀️

Kia has blown it with this category. The Sportage should be one of their best sellers, though they haven’t increased the gas mileage nor updated the interior.

Thank you for your feedback. Test drove both and I find that the Kia has more pep. I travel on grave type road and find it has more road noise than the Tucson. Did you find the same?

KIA really has stepped up it's game, there is no doubt. I just check out one yesterday, the exterior looks great and it runs great. Unfortunately the interiors are as cheap as they have always been. Kia still has a long way to go.

Lol maybe the base model is cheap I dont know as I have the SX. I dont think all the major automotive magazines and critics would be raving about how the Sportage has the interior look and feel of Audi if it were cheap. I can tell you my interior looks far from cheap. Now the Rav 4 and CRV they look cheap and feel cheap too.

Do your homework pleas, the German guy from Audi is still around- - as in as a President of Hyundai and Kia. Peter Schreyer is a German automobile designer widely known for his design contributions to the Audi TT. He has been the chief design officer at Kia Motors since 2006 and on 28 December 2012, was named one of three presidents of the company.
