I've got the top spec 2019 GT S Line AWD. It's a brilliant car. My last 2 cars were Jag XJs and all I'm saying is SEVEN YEAR WARRANTY!! The Sporty has an amazing 8 speed auto gearbox and it's comfy, quiet and practical. Do not underestimate how good this car is.

Your review is on point. I drove its predecessor, and the A-pillar is really a bother. It's a huge blindspot. But, regarding interior noise dampening, it's pretty phenom. Low noise from the outside, so you get to enjoy more of your music.

Had a 2011 Sportage, it didn't give me even a single trouble. Very reliable, and the 2.0 Gas AT surprisingly gets me 11 to 13KM per liter.

One of the more faster turbo diesel crossovers in the country. Drove one recently and it the tires will really chirp when you overtake hard at low speed.

Peter really put a lot of Audi elements in the entire Kia lineup. Kia is that car brand you would buy if you want a German car but you cannot afford one.

Spot on about not being AWD, we have a 4wd 2009 model and still driving and loving it, we want to replace it with a new 4x4 or AWD model but... sigh, looks like we will have to purchase different brand or move up to a Sorento if they don’t offer it here

Always remember that these car reviewers almost always review the top-spec high end models (which will obviously cost the most). There is a different variant of Sportage at 1.3M. Same car, just less of the unnecessary bells and whistles

great video as usual. sportage and tucson are really nice crossovers but kia should realize that this is a crossover and it is overpriced. ever wonder why the chinese are gaining a foothold in the crossover market? if they really insist on 1.8m I would go for a monterosports.

gearshift is just right, your arm is just a bit short that's why your elbow would fall off the armrest while using the gearshift. ✌️

just saw that Kia Sorento has a 370k discount thus lowering it to 1.595M which is close to Kia Sportage price and Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid price... would you recommend Sorento over Sportage? daily vehicle and 1 to 2 times a year family drive to La Union or Baguio... SUV user here and I find it too big for daily commute to work

Almost got the diesel non GT variant, already paid the reservation to have it shipped from Manila to my city, however I was disappointed Kia really skimped out on the non GT variants, I mean 1 airbag in 2020 has to be a joke. Went for the 2019 Sorento EX AWD instead which is the same price as the 2019 Sportage GT after the P400,000 discount it has right now. Honestly for 1.8M just go with the Sorento EX AWD it's so much more worth it.

182hp at 4000 rpm, 400 Nm at 1750, wow put that in a 7 seater ladder frame SUV and it might sell like hotcakes. KIA is hiding some nice powerful engines here 😮
