I was looking at the linkswell xl but i think i may jus go with this oem 12" with Uconnect 5 for my 2020 ram 1500. I much rather factory oem screen over some after market tablet. Plus i heard uconnet 5 is where its at. Mine came with the 8.4 stock screen uconnet 4 but at the time i couldnt wait for one with a 12" to come which is whatbi really wanted

Does all the features work as far as ram app and sos/ assist and so forth if you upgrade from U4 to U5? Read in some Ram forums these features was not working

I am not sure what Ram App you are refering to. Hoewever, Ram chose to change the Telematics gateway for Uconnect 5 so things like Sirius Guardian will not be present. Other then that everything present on the Vin number is retained through this upgrade.

I noticed that with the first model it was a single zone ac and with the rest it changed to dual zone. Does the dual zone actually work

Yes this is an OEM system so that feature is programmed and working after the conversion.

For the 12 inch screen why wasn't the android auto full screen? Was there something extra that's needed?

Time stamp 32:24 displays the UBQ 12" screen powered up. The screen will display full screen Apple Carplay/Android auto. You also have the ability to manipulate the settings to your preference.

Our truck with factory Uconnect 5 doesn't have fullscreen Android Auto either. I don't know if you can change it or not?
