The 2019 Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT Master II “Batman" 126710BLNR features a 40mm stainless steel case with black and blue Rolex Cerachrom bezel surrounding a black dial on a stainless steel Jubilee bracelet with folding buckle. Functions of this 2019 Rolex GMT Master II "Batman" include bidirectional 24-hour GMT bezel, Rolex Jubilee bracelet, Easylink clasp extension, COSC Swiss chronometer certification for Rolex caliber 3285, 100-meter water resistance, hours, minutes, seconds, date and GMT. This Rolex watch also measures 11.9mm in thickness and 48mm from lug-to-lug.
The vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT Master II "Coke" 16760 features a 40mm stainless steel case with a black and red bezel surrounding a black tritium dial on a stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet with folding buckle. Functions of this Rolex watch include hours, minutes, seconds, date and GMT. The watch also measures 12.9mm in thickness and 47.8mm from lug-to-lug.

I have a GMT Master II Coke that I purchased an 1989 for approximately 20 for $2,500 I have spent that much maybe even a little bit more in the past 30 some years that I've owned it I wear it everyday he go swimming kayaking canoeing cutting the grass drinking beers with my buddies that has been a constant companion on my wrist and I will never get rid of it! Awesome!!! People can do whatever they want with their watch hobby but I think your story is awesome. I bought a Porsche 911 many years ago and have just cared for it and enjoyed it like you and your Rolex. Now, it is a classic, doubled in value, and people ask me why I knew one... You and I know why, nothing like a longtime companion!

I bought my two sons a Coke GMT in 1996 and 2000 respectively, when they were born. The former my eldest son has, as he’s reached 21. The latter is still stickered and has never been worn as my youngest isn’t 21 yet.

Of these two, the coke (if only for collecting purposes). I do not like the jubilee on a GMT. Personally, I own the Batman on oyster (which I think is the best GMT ever).

I’ll take the Sophia Loren over the Batgirl all day long. If the Bruce Wayne (Oyster BLNR) was here, then the decision might be a little tougher.

@@Chris-es3wf XD Imagine Tim going: "this gmt example, originally the blue and red version, has had the bezel expertly removed by the original owner; to further the value of the piece they also used, as far as we were able to ascertain, a 6d rusty nail to etch the case back. We cannot show you what the engraving looks like at the present moment, due to it's.. explicit nature, but rest assured, the gentleman was very knowledgeable in the art of profanity and had a vivid, colorful imagination. This is a bit of an odd vs. Because these two watches despite both being GMTs appeal to very different people. Those who prefer vintage over new or those looking for a long term investment, will go with this vintage Coke. While those who want the latest and greatest, and this new GMT is vastly superior in every way to its vintage counterpart! Would obviously go for the new Batman here. Or if you have the funds and are a collector...both! Personally I’d go for the Batman, it’s a much higher quality watch in general and that’s what counts to me, not financial investment or vintage nostalgia. I simply prefer the better watch! And 10, 20+ years down the line it’ll still be functioning too and become vintage by then anyway.

@@jordan8282 it’s still very wrong. The Batgirl is still 70% above its retail price and prices are beginning to flatten. As the market recovers this will go even higher
