This section takes me from Brush Mountain Lodge, over Links Pass and to Silverthorne. Lost my Mojo for a while as I struggle to get back into the groove.

Can we get the rock story?
@stevenmoatt47364 жыл бұрын
Ok So the rock was placed there by the land owner who lived / lives near by .He put it there to raise the curiosity of passers bye. People would often stop and ask about it's history and he would then spin them a yarn. Like it came from space. Or had ancient significance. Really all he wanted was a chat. Well that's it. It's not going to change your world. But that is what I was told. If there are others with different explanations please let me know.

Flared drop bars or straight bar? Seems like the former takes the cake.

Hi John It's horses for courses. I love my drops and have recently been testing out flats but the bike I have is designed for drops so the top tube is a little short for flats. So if I do go for drops I'll need a longer frame. I know I cycle faster with drops on road and gravel and cope ok on the more technical single track. The flats though give way more control on the real technical stuff. Breaking and gear shifting is better. For those long trails where you can hunker down and spin then I reach for the drops again. Lots of hand positions. The area for handle bar bags is sometimes restricted with drops so I'm changing to a wider set. If I was going on a shorter technical ride then flats would be possibly the better choice. Happy riding Steve
