Hi! I am so sorry that it took so long to make this video. I was lazy and I wanted to do this the best way I could. I wish now most of the translations are right, but if they are not, let me know. I am especially happy if some of you understand Sinhalese because despite trying to use Google Translate with these lyrics, I couldn't translate them. I am sorry for it. Hopefully, you like this.

Which is a travesty because I’d say there’s an argument for the theme song ranking to have the Chinese language at the top. At worst case it’s top 3: French, Chinese, English are roughly top 3.

The "encouraging hacking" stuff is just a rumour. The truth is it was banned in China because the distribution company lied and said it was an original Chinese production, because (from what I hear) Chinese shows are viewed more favourably than foreign ones in China. They got caught and had to cease distribution. To my knowledge, Moonscoop never claimed ownership of the Chinese dub, so it's hard to even say whether it was officially licensed or not. You can read about it on the Chinese Wikipedia page for the show. Makes much more sense if you ask me, since as people have said, the hacking stuff in the show is pretty vague P:

I still randomly sing the serbian version of the theme song to myself, i have basically disassociated with where i live for personal reasons but its the one thing i subconsciously still remember Code lyoko was one of the only parts of my life i had that i can consider a childhood and its a show i hold really close to my heart, ive recently started rewatching the entire series in english because back then i haven't really watched everything in order or understood everything unlike now I really just want to thank the producers of the series in general even though there were a lot of differences between the serbian, french and english dub of the show (i think that the serbian dub based itself off of the french version unlike a fair bit that based themselves off of the english dub) Also MoonScoop for carrying the series and making it even better from S2 onward, S1 was great but S2 was really when the series started shaping up into its own thing i owe a lot of shit to this series honestly.

Following is what the song actually means. We will defeat the enemy Never give up / abandon you We will be the star that shines the darkness We will defeat the evil We will come forth So don't be afraid Because we protect the world And be victorious

I'm glad in Italy never dubbed it and left the french theme (at least at the beginning, I never understood why they switched with the english theme later on) because onestly the original theme is so iconic that I could not immagine it in any other language ❤

Hey I'm a Sri Lankan. The lyrics for the Sinhala version actually is as follows. "Sathura paradanne kisida na harayanne tharuwak didulanne eliyai gena denne sathura paradanne kisida na harayanne apimawe napuran paradanne Code Lyoko perata enno Code Lyoko baya nasanno Code Lyoko lowa rakinno Code Lyoko jaya labanno..." And its translation is something like this. "Defeating the enemy never giving up shining like a star we'll bring upon light Defeating the enemy never giving up we will make evil go away Code Lyoko we'll come forth Code Lyoko we'll erase fear Code Lyoko we'll protect the world Code Lyoko we'll be victorious." as a greek person who loves code lyoko i never heard the greek code lyoko theme song so that was a first id like to thank you for showing it to me. i only grew up with the english and serbian version now about the rating first place goes to serbian second to english and third to greek. it took quite some time for me to understand the greek ver but once i understood it it was great

This show is literally my childhood! I honestly just like the French and English version. Near the end, the music kind of got better?? It honestly just sounded like people went into a recording studio and said “Hey let’s do some karaoke!” XD But awesome video nonetheless. :)

The original French is amazing, then I like the English and Japanese ones too. In Italy they aired the show with the French opening at first and then switched to the English one and I don't understand why. I like both but maybe I would've kept the French one, it's the original one and it's more characteristic. We are already full of English shows/openings

The Dutch lyrics were pretty good but could use a little tweaking: Evil is online, taking you with it. The danger of today, that is digital. It's the bits and the bytes - and it's all going so fast. The threat keeps coming back. Code Lyoko: we can handle it. Code Lyoko: we will resist it. Code Lyoko: we of this time. Code Lyoko: we're winning the battle! Awesome video btw! Was very interesting to see how the lyrics were changed to fit the other languages ;D

I'm portuguese and I swear code lyoko was a huge part of my childhood, but for some weird reason I have no recollection of it being in Portuguese, I only remember everything in english, and I mean the opening and the actual cartoon. Wth

Maybe you didn't watch it in Portuguese. The series aired on Canal Panda and Panda Biggs with the English dub till 2010 (I guess). That year, Code Lyoko returned to Canal Panda but with a Portuguese dub, which was amazing to me because sometimes I couldn't finish reading the subtitles 😅 (well I watched so many times the episodes that I almost knew all the dialogues, but watching in Portuguese was special). I don't know why I answered you in English but ok...

@@utilizadorgoogle9844 ahhh, faz sentido, devo ter parado de ver antes de passar a ser em Portuges, se bem que acho q ainda vi uma ou outra vez depois de 2012 portanto ainda devo ter apanhado um bocadinho de portugues, mas nao suficiente para registar na memoria. Saudades de Portugal!

Im Serbian and i want to say that this series had huge impact on my childhood aswell as my sisters and for me watching it in Serbian is super nostalgic but we never gor the first ep translated so for us the first ep is with big bear

I think that the castillian version is a fanmade, this is the firt time that I hear it, here we have the english version too, but at the beginning says "codigo lyoko" with the title

Actually the castillian version is oficial but was never used. It's kind of sad because it's a good translation and the voices are pretty good. The show was aired using the English version, what made hard for the children to learn and sing the lyrics.
