Have the same model & it's the best bike I've ever owned. I was close to getting the MT-09 (full disclosure I'm a Yamaha fan) but after test riding the s1000r it was a done deal. It's everything in one package. Docile for around town & a missile on open roads and twisties. Fueling is 100% bang on. The quick shifter (up & down) is sublime. If anything, the engine breaking could be better but nothing major. If you want an all in one package its worth a look. Good review mate.

Idk if you couldn't tell by the other 2 coments but it's 11000 rpm lolol jk I'm getting this bike in a few months but I'm getting the white m package

umm It doesn't limit at 13.5 rpm, it limits at 11.5.....

Thanks for your feedback. On the dash It starts to red line at 11k and tops out at 13.75k

Do you feel the 2021 mt09 is a solid contender?

I've not ridden that bike however, I have ridden the BMW R1250R....video coming soon, I prefer the 1250r

Handbook says 12000rpm
